I ordered boots from the website www.hlhhotsales.com. After I sent the payment to the seller, I received confirmation email, but it contained completely different information. The price and item, which I bought was different. I checked my account, and this company charged me for $150, but I bought boots for $95. I sent several messages through their website, but I still haven’t received any response. I wonder if someone had the same situation and can offer good solution. Thanks.
I had a similar experience using the website: "showbeautyshow.com". I tried to buy shoes some months ago. I was lucky not to lose money (through my paypal account). I've just discovered the problem and checked my account. There is one more site like this, having the same lay out and prices in USD (besides "hlhhotsales.com"): "alex-shoes.com". I don't know if all three are owned by the same persons, but beware of scammers as they constantly change url / website”.
I have just heard from paypal and the claim has been settled in my favour so I will be getting my money back. I notice that the website doesn't exist any more but after a search, two new 'shoe stores' have appeared which look as though they have been set up using the same format. Lesson learned - always check the safety of a website no matter how genuine it looks.
Hi Wallyr. It is currently still in the hands of paypal, just waiting to hear from them. Interestingly when I went into the resolution centre on paypal, it bypassed the immediate resolution page and went straight to raising a claim, therefore I think that paypal have had lots of complaints about this 'store'. I'm now certain it's a scam but a very clever one - several of my friends have looked at the site and they too said that they would be convinced that it's a genuine store.

I have also had a similar experience. I ordered some shoes on 12/12/13 and so far nothing has arrived. I have emailed but have not had a reply, although the money left my paypal account immediately. Looking back I feel a bit of a fool for not realising this could be a scam - they had over sixty pairs in stock of the shoes I wanted despite every other shoe website being sold out, they were incredibly inexpensive and had free worldwide shipping. It seemed too good to be true so I should have cottoned on - if something is too good to be true then it's probably because you're being duped. But the clever thing is that they had it set up like a proper store where you opened an account with a log in and password and could check the status of the order. One month and one week since ordering my shoes, the order status still says 'processing'. I am going to try to get my money back through paypal. I'm certain that this is a scam. feeling like a gigantic idiot!
My situation is quite similar. I bought a pair of shoes one month and a half ago, at the moment no shoes, no answers to any e-mail and I'm waiting from Paypal the possibility to receive my money back. I'm didn't want to believe it, but I'm quite sure this is a scam :(((
