Herculiner is supposed to be a great Spray Lining but it's a Scam. It's great that you can buy it locally at retail stores. It's almost impossible to get it off your skin... Colors cost more than standard black that fades & turns grey fast. This can be restored but that's annoying... It gets get soft in when its hot out- like gooky. The worst part about this that if it sits in one area and gets too thick that area will crack... With a true Spray-Lining product or service the thicker it is the better it will be! How can a Coating meant to be for LINING actually fail when it's too thick? That is the opposite of a quality spray on bed lining product. That's why this review on Herculiner as a competitive Spray-on-Lining product directs all to learn that the persons behind Herculiner are Professional Scam Artists! For $75 to $100 you get 1 gallon of Herculiner which is a basic polyurethane coating with some texture bumps that cannot cover an 8 foot truck bed at any reasonable mil height. This is because the formula: 1 gallon at 1 mil covers 1604 sq ft. That translates to 16.04 sq ft at 100 mils which is an average for any good spray lining job. You do get a cheap application brush, 2 cheap two rollers a handle a cleaning pad a can opener and directions for primer (not included) and applying it. it's not a Durable Coating at all!

Herculiner was used by THE Spray-Lining Complaint-Maker. A Maaco Shop owner said he applies Spray-Lining which I read was the best DIY sprayed tank lining available... Macco has a good name so I trusted A guy named John at the Macco in Saint Louis. They were gone when the tank lining was discovered to be Herculiner by a Certified Spray-Lining guy I know from Chicago, Barry Rightly. He had seen dried Herculiner peeling off on other high spec jobs that are well above Herculiner's league. A one-part, retail-bought, low-grade urethane, I learned cannot handle aquatic holding tanks or exacting, high-spec requirements as Polyurea Hybrid Spray-Lining sprayed by a trained, certified professional. People who say they spray "Elastomeric Poly type products but use Herculiner are the most dangerous spray-lining scam. Many of these complaint-makers believe you are stupid enough to believe he has a durable coating system of some kind but mathematically Herculiner's mil height is easy to calculate. Spray-Lining Complaints are from that Marsh of facts that don't add up after you're coating job fails. This should help people who want professional DIY applications: Use Line-X Spray-Lining Rhino Linings or SPI. Those are great vendors with trained applicators.
