I purchased the Handy Toughtest 14.4V Impact Screwdriver from The Sportsmans guide. The shaft wobbles and the motor gets hot and smoke comes from the air vents. This happened right out of the box. The instruction manual has no information for warranty or company name or phone number.

I purchased mine new at a garage sale for 25.00. Occasionally the bit doesn't want to pull out so, I installed a sears quick adapter and have used it for years without problems. In fact, after about 4 years use the batteries don't want to stay charged up like they used to. This unit works good for removing small nuts and screws in automotive repair applications. If I can still purchase the batteries for a reasonable price I still will use the unit. It works great for all my wood working project and will drive about a pound of deck screws before I have to change batteries.

Handyman is the apparent maker of the handy 14.4 volt impact screwdriver. Who sells the charger for the battery?
