My family and I visited the Golden Nugget Lake Charles Casino for the first time this past weekend. My wife and daughter traveled 6,000 miles to see me, and we were looking forward to a relaxing vacation in your hotel.
As a Houston resident for the past 20+ years, I have a lot of respect to Landry's & Mr. Fertitta, and the trip to Golden Nugget was highly anticipated for us since we've never been. We checked-in on 2/13 around 2pm, stayed in the pool until 5pm and then I bought a betting ticket for the Super Bowl and went to Vic & Anthony's for dinner at 5:30pm. My family and I dined until around 8pm (the end of the Super Bowl's 3rd quarter).

We hoped to see the last quarter of the game in a louder environment, so we went to the sports bar and were told we need to be 21+ years of age to enter by a lady from the casino's staff. Since my daughter is under 21, we went to the Mexican restaurant instead. At the end of the game, we approached the casino floor, FOR THE FIRST TIME since our arrival, to ask if we may enter with my daughter as we are not familiar with the casino's policies regarding age limits.

This time, that same lady who we met before and told us we cannot enter the sports bar asked for my daughter's ID, which I found odd since I already told her my daughter was under 21 earlier. I answered that my daughter's passport was in the room, and it's not relevant anyway because she is under 21. My family and I then decided to go back to the room and call it a night.

This is where the story gets insane - that lady unexpectedly and with no reason at all started to follow us, which I noticed only when a second security lady asked me to stop. The ladies asked again to see my daughter's ID and inquired why I didn't give it when they asked for it.

My reaction was simple - she asked for her ID but since my daughter is under 21 and I already told her that earlier, there was no need for us to go back to the room and grab her passport since we wanted to call it a night and not enter the casino after all.

From that point my family and I, for no reason whatsoever, were treated as common criminals! We didn't break any rules or codes of conduct. We simply asked if entry to the casino was permitted under adult supervision as we've never been to Lake Charles before and are not familiar with the rules of your establishment or of the state of Louisiana.

Greg (your security guy who has a lot of common sense), witnessed the entire exchange and suggested to the ladies to let it go as we were already on our way to sleep, but the lady refused because according to her "I accused her of racism and I tried SEVERAL TIMES to break into the casino", which is completely false. I explained that I wasn't accusing her of racism but meant she was treating me with disrespect due to my foreign accent and was being very aggressive and short with me and my family.

We then went back to the room, and a few minutes later that same lady, who was borderline harassing us at this point, showed up with a Sheriff! The Sheriff asked us to vacate the premises at 11pm at night. I then went down to speak to the manager, Teresa Holmberg, in the reception, trying to explain this is a huge misunderstanding, and asking her to have someone check the cameras before they make a huge mistake for no reason. The manager also refused to hear what I had to say and repeated twice "I got a report from the security officer, I don't want to hear you, just LEAVE the hotel!".

My family and I were in shock from her reaction, my wife came down and said the security lady was forcing her to take our belongings from the room, before they lock it and we won't have access to our items.

As a well-traveled family, we have never been so insulted and disrespected like that in our entire lives. We drove back to Houston after midnight, feeling humiliated, traumatized, exhausted, and frustrated.

Desired outcome: Please check cameras and confirm all I said was true and contact Expedia on my behalf and issue a full refund plus compensate me and my family for this insult.
