Genie9 LTD (G Cloud Backup) review: G cloud backup app

I purchased a lifetime storage plan and the Remove Ads add‑on in the G Cloud Backup app when they were offered. After a recent update, both were revoked, and my account was downgraded to a free plan with ads, despite proof of purchase.
When the app was first introduced, Genie9 LTD sold lifetime plans as permanent entitlements. Now they only sell subscriptions, but instead of honoring past lifetime purchases, they revoked mine. This app is account‑dependent, not store‑dependent, so purchases made in one store (Amazon Appstore) should remain valid when downloading from another (Google Play).
I contacted support multiple times with invoices and screenshots, but they refused to restore my purchase. Other users report their expired lifetime plans were reactivated by staff, showing the company can restore but does so inconsistently.
Warning to consumers: Lifetime purchases may be revoked without warning, leaving accounts downgraded.
