Geeksquad from Best Buy review: Firewall protection scam

I received an email about PC protection and that I was being charged $349.99 unless I called to cancel. I called and the person I talked to, James from I think India, said I needed to download a program called ConnectWise. When my computer wouldn't he asked me to download a program called AskDesk.com. That didn't work either and he said alk supervisors were gone for the day. He said he would call me back the next day. I had my husband call the bank to cancel our debit card in case it was a scam. The person called again today and said they were from Geek squad Best Buy. I told him I knew he was trying to scam me because I never bought any computer from BestBuy. He said my firewall was compromised and it generated an alert to their company. I hung up.
