I have an account with gay.com. There is a user on there who is constantly making threats towards other users. He has put other users personal information in the chat room where everyone can see it. Then he has hacked into people's accounts as well. Several of us have left messages with Gay.com aka Here Media, Inc. and nothing is done. If nothing is done to resolve this matter, our next course of action is a class-action lawsuit against the company and the people involved. We have already consulted an attorney, however, we would like the company to step up to the plate and do something about it, so we don't have to drag this into court.
gay.com is going the way of the dinosaur anyway- it was part (the failed part) pf PLanet Out. They even issued stock then it plunged...I mean who would invest in this? The chat rooms are almost empty - you can go to LA and find only 30 people there. Most are spam accounts and the old Nigerian letter scam.
2012 should be their last year. They couldn;t launch a successful mobile app either. People use Grindr and these sorts of legacy sites lost business to that too.
