I was shopping with my 20 and 22 years old children and when we approached the checkout line, I asked the employee to run my grocerys because I was purchasing beer. The employee was actually the manager of the store and asked my children to produce I.D. I said they did not need I.D. because I was purchasing the groceries and beer. He was extremely rude as he began to tell my that the ABC law prohibited my from buying alcohol with my under-aged child present. I told him I couldn't believe that a 50 year old woman could not purchase beer and groceries because her child was present . He also added that it was because she was pushing the cart. I am furious and will never shop there again after leaving the store with no purchases. I have never been refused wine or beer sales at Albertsons, or any other grocery store, because my children were with me, or pushing the cart.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The rudest cashier I've ever delt with. Aroa in the Duarte store. I will never shop there again. Bottom line.

The manager has no sense of empathy to customers that are hurt within the store or in the parking lot. They are too busy and do not care as to what happens to the customers. My mother had experienced a severe fall in the parking lot. Two customers came to her attention. One of the nice ladies went inside for help and the other female customer waited with my mother. A young man came out with a first aid kit but had no clue as to what he should do. He gave my mother an ice pack and went back into the store. He never came back out nor did any other employee. My mother sat out in the parking lot for 30min. and the female customer waited with her. The fall happened 12/24/2012 and the Monday following i called the store. To my surprise, the manager i spoke to was the manager on duty. He admitted he was aware something happened that day in the parking lot but was told it was a minor fall. This was not so, as my mother suffered contusions to her nose, mouth and to her right knee. I asked why he did not go and check on the incident out in the parking lot and he told me " lots was going on in the store and no time" and he was told it was not a big deal.
I know Fresh and Easy likes to cut corners, it's obvious as soon as you go to the checkouts, (all self checkout) but at least put some effort into your products. Example PIZZA SAUCE ON A PIZZA!
@ NoThankQ - No... It was obvious that you were not buying the 4 year old liquor... It was NOT obvious that she was not buying the liquor for the 2 people that looked like they might be under age.
The law in NY says that a;; people must present ID when purchasing any alcohol... Not sure what state you are in as it was not on the complaint.
CUTTING CORNERS DO NOT GET HURT AS AN EMPLYEE THERE THEY WILL STICK IT TO YOU EVEN WITH AL THERE CAMERAS AND MICROPHONES TALK ABOUT A HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT EVEN FROM UPPER MANAGEMENT HOW SAD GREAT FING COMPANY BUT AS AN EMPLOYEE WHO GOT HURT ON JOB FING NIGHTMARE
