FR8Star review: Shipping

We are looking to warn others of the trouble we had through this shipping broker. We booked a load for shipment on fr8star.com, paid the price that was what was agreed on, an all in quote to get the load. We had to call the booking company fr8star several times to get the load picked up. Fr8star simply passed the buck to the actual trucking company doing the shipping.

I dealt with Cherylann at this company global transport out of gainsville Ga. She was super nice at first explaining that she would get right on it. 2 weeks later the equipment that we were trying to ship was still sitting on the dealers lot. AFTER 2 weeks. A pickup truck finally showed up a week after that with the equipment on a gooseneck trailer, not the flatbed tractor trailer one would generally haul equipment on. Then Cherylann proceeded to send us an invoice for an extra 1 1/2 x's the agreed upon contractual price. We contacted the booking company fr8star who didnt back their customer but the trucking company they work with even though the disclaimer when you book a load says the load price includes all fees and permits.

We paid the extra $1200 she asked of us but we feel she was in the wrong.

Cherylann even sent a text the day the equipment arrived saying that if we didnt pay the extra fees she was going to put a lein on our property.

I feel she owes us Reimbursement for the "add-on" fees, since the carrier we booked through "Fr8star.com" claims their quotes are "all-in" price agreements.
