I am submitting this complaint to document a serious incident involving labor exploitation, wage withholding, coercive working conditions, and prolonged food deprivation that I experienced while working for Ramon Ontiveros and his company in 2022. The circumstances I endured align with recognized indicators of human trafficking and labor coercion, including control through deprivation of basic necessities, economic manipulation, and the use of threats or vulnerabilities to maintain compliance.
During this period, I worked continuously for Mr. Ontiveros, managing client communications, scheduling projects, and generating income for his business, yet I was denied the wages I had already earned. Without access to the pay owed to me, I was left unable to meet even my most basic needs. As a direct result, I was forced to go without solid food for twenty-four consecutive days, followed by additional periods of starvation. This deprivation severely impacted my physical health, and it occurred while I was actively performing labor that directly benefited Mr. Ontiveros and his company.
Despite withholding my wages, Mr. Ontiveros had sufficient funds for personal expenditures, including the purchase of a new vehicle and travel for leisure. During this same time, he informed me that the reason he could not pay me was because he had diverted my earned wages to finance the smuggling of several undocumented individuals, including a Honduran minor, Jr. Alexander Mejía, who was later detained and deported in April 2022. This admission placed me in a situation in which my labor was being used to support activities I did not consent to and were potentially unlawful.
I experienced significant physical deterioration between May and July 2022. During those months, my weight dropped from approximately 187 lbs to 142 lbs. Without access to my wages, I had no ability to purchase food, and at times survived only on expired medication or unsafe stimulants to suppress hunger while continuing to work for Mr. Ontiveros and Floor Ko LLC.
These conditions: wage withholding, coercive deprivation of necessities, unsafe working expectations, and the redirection of my earnings to unlawful activities, created an environment of dependency, fear, and extreme vulnerability. These are recognized elements of labor trafficking and exploitation, especially when the individual cannot freely leave due to financial manipulation or deprivation of basic survival needs.
Because of ongoing harassment, intimidation, and attempts to discredit or silence me, I respectfully ask that this complaint be accepted as legitimate and allowed to remain publicly visible. I am a real individual reporting my direct experience, and past attempts to speak publicly about these events have been met with efforts to censor or remove my statements.
My only intention is to document what happened and ensure there is an accurate record of these events so that they can be taken seriously and considered in the appropriate context of labor exploitation and human trafficking concerns.
