WOMEN NOT WELCOME AT FLEETMATICS!
AUTHOR: Hell_In_High_Heels - (United States of America)

I worked for Fleetmatics for 3 1/2 months. I along with another female employee had to share a bathroom with the other 30+ men that work there. You can imagine the things we saw. There is a constant barrage of F Bombs, sex & drug talk...bullying by short, round man named Davis...Premium inbound leads, chat leads, etc... given to a few of the boys. Jerry Dyas, GM refused to do anything and told me to quit if I didn't like it...Said he wasn't going to micro manage the guys. I was told during the interview that there would be "salty language"-- F**K...G** Dam* is a little more than salty...especially screamed out and repeated over & over & over ...

After contacting the "HR" person there was an "investigation" & they acknowledge there were issues. Then came the retaliation...changing up our lead process, taking away accounts we worked on bringing in, refusing to teach us to close when other men with far less time (3 weeks) were training (hands on) & allowing to close aka Make More Money, canceling "our" appointments & affecting our incomes, blowing off our appointments so we wouldn't get deals, On my last big deal the closer changed it out of my name & only put me back on when I called him out on it...sneaky...underhanded. 200 Unit deal closed it on the day I was fired for being "unhappy". Really? I am happy making money & being allowed to work free of ridicule & scummy behavior.

This company makes outbound calls to multiple states and stated they were recording calls for the closers to review & coaching opportunity. Ira Friedman, a closer & close confidant to Mr. Jerry Dyas, told me on 11/6/2011 at 5:20pm with Mr. Travis Haulk present that he had listened to my calls. He stated that he bet the MEN really liked me but the WOMEN not so much. He advised me to be sure to "circle back" before the end of the call to be sure they knew what they were making an appointment for. Travis Haulk spoke up and said MUPPETS like me. That's what they call hard working folks that aren't the owner but maybe influence the deal. MUPPETS...as in Sesame Street.

So Ira infers I sound too sexy on the phone. I reported this to HR aka Al Vasile asking why is my so called equal listening to my calls. Mr. Al Vasile told me they do in for coaching opportunities.

Florida is a two party state: meaning you must tell the party the call may be monitored or recorded. Easy right? Not in the script anywhere...not in the sit script anywhere. So when we call businesses and say we are working with "so & so" in your area managing their fleet of vehicles.. (kind of false pretense) & then we set you up for an online demo. If we sell you then you are giving us your confidential information over a potentially recorded line that you don't know about. Cause for concern? I would think so. I reported this "oversight" to HR, State Attorney & local authorities. 11/18/2011 Clearwater Police Report statesJerry Dyas told officer on 11/18 that they hadn't recorded in 30 days due to software issues. That sounds like an admission doesn't it? Anyway...Jerry Dyas had a "new" phone system installed on 12/16. Fleetmatics has an office in Chicago, Ill. Another 2 party state for recording disclosure; An instructional video of a prospect in Arlington Heights, Ill was circulated. According to the prospect, he did not know he was being recorded and no disclosure was given in the recording circulated. Rights are not rights if you give them away. Our military fights for us day in & day out. We have to speak up for ourselves. Let one business suffer due to identity theft & see if it matters then. It would matter most to that business owner I am sure.

When I caught another employee trying to fabricate a BS story about me to potentially get me fired I decided ENOUGH! I along with another co-worker filed with the EEOC for Sex & Retaliation on 12/5 & 12/7. It is against the law to discriminate, harass & retaliate. They can't coerce or alter a federal investigator. They will be held accountable.

I am the top producer this month...top 3 every month I was there. I have been threatened by Jerry Dyas with disciplinary action without any cause or documentation. He called me in on 11/21/2011 at 11:00am with Michael DiPiazza present & Al Vasile on speaker phone. Mr Dyas said if I have anymore outbursts (?) I will be fired. The Clearwater Police had been there that morning at 10am to follow up on recording calls. The 11/21/2011 report states Mr. Dyas told the officer on that date they are not recording and hadn't recorded (refer to 11/18 admission) & it was a "problem employee" they were going to get rid of. I don't like being threatened when I come to work every day and do my job..do it better than most every person there. On 12/12 I forwarded an email to Al Vasile outlining the "recording law for Illinois" ; On 12/13 at 1:30pm I was terminated by Al Vasile with David Brown present. Reason Given: You are unhappy. I could tell when you sent me that email yesterday regarding Illinois recording laws.

This company has absolutely NO REGARD or RESPECT for women. No regard for Business owners right to disclosure when required as it pertains to recording & monitoring. READ the OTHER POSTINGS. Google FLEETMATICS. They are also part of SAGEQUEST now. This is not a "disgruntled' employee ... I loved my job & was very good at it. The hostile environment I had to work in & vulgarity I had to listen to day in & day out...as well as the lack of integrity in conducting day to day operations was & is so unnecessary.

THINK twice before going to work for this company. The men working there are job scared and money hungry. They will say & do anything for Mr. Jerry Dyas.

Are they above the law? Maybe on the possible recording of call without the Business Owners knowledge... They aren't above the Court of Public Opinion. You treat people poorly long enough...it will catch up with you. The truth will prevail.
