Owner operators, protect yourselves, read the contract and ask questions. Dont' accept answers tell them to put it in writing, because diferent people gives you diferent answers.

Ther contract states the rate per mile, but never states how many miles it's from point A to B, it claims they pay according to p.c. Miler. ya, big diference between what they pay and pc miler, and when you ask about the discipency, they will say, Oh we just pay flat rate. so the contract should state the flat rate not according to P.C.Miler.

You blow a tire on their trailer, they expect you to fix it out of your own money (they will deduct it out of your settlement without a notice).

a lot of those women who work in the office are married to the guys who run the show, so complaining doesn't help.

Company drivers get $10.50/ hr flat rate also, so if you break down, you are on your own, which you will have.

In one week driver breaks down twice on an average, and when you sense a problem with a truck, you tell the mechanic about it, he will say come back next month, that's why i 've seen chieftin trucks with headlights dangling and fenders with duct tape on it lol.

Company Business Name: chieftin contract services

thanks for your concern,

If you could tell the people at the office from operation manager to dispatcher and payroll dept. that drivers are the ones who pay your payroll maybe they will start treating drivers as humans.

karen, lisa, kathy, mr. house, carl, adam. all need courses on how to have a professional conversation.

jeff, tami, bernie, rony(mechanic) are the ones who are helping your co. image.

Thanks again for your response and I hope i was fair to everyone.
