Good day

My name is levashan moodley - I have recently taken in my 2018 Mercedes a250 sport in for repairs on the 04/02/2023.

Contact: [protected]

REG: ND 737013

My car was with them and claim had been authorised by my insurer timeously, durban central started the Job after 8 days of receiving claim approval which caused a delay. When I called them they stated that they did not receive any approval and I had to then call my insurer to find out what is going on - My insurer stated that this has been sent to them. They lied and came up with a story that they had not received that when all claims are system generated and allocated. When they started the claim the lady Precious from Durban central panelbeaters called to state that they have started the repair, however they were starting to repair the wrong job card, my car was in for suspension damage and they were repairing the RHS door. This delay further caused my car hire to expire which left me as a customer without a vehicle. My insurer called them and reqested a courtesy car and their director stated that he has no vehicles for the 05/02/2023 as he can only get a vehicle on the Monday which left me without a car for another 2 days. When they called me on the monday they stated that they have a car which is an hyundai I10, I run a car hire business and there was a loss of income to the value of R14500.00 due to this. They then repaired and tested and found that there was an issue with bearings, Once issue found then there was a Loss of parts from mercedes parts and another delay which carried out until 20/02/2023, Only until I called Navesh from Merecedes Parts he then stated that parts arrived and I then as a customer had to go and call durban central to notify them that parts have arrived. Vehicle was then picked up on 22/02/2023 and my front lip was missing, I told the service adviser Precious and she stated that she was unaware of this and she would have to wait for recording, they then found spoiler after a few hours, My question why was it taken off, and even if it was removed why was it not put back. I then took the car and on the 23/02/2023 I was driving with my wife and the RHS rim cover came loose and I almost met with an accident, they did not even screw on the part properly.

From start to date the service and repairs were pathetic.

I hope to have help which will be gladly appreciated

Desired outcome: 1) Compensation for losses2) Repair conducted by another insurer
