On Nov. 7th 2009, I ordered the dual saw

and the person that took the order was

made aware that I only had prepaid visa

to use and I wanted flex pay, he said no

problem and the total amount to be

debited was $79.93 including shipping.

The company took the amount from my

account and I thought the saw was being

shipped since they removed the money

from my account. Today I tracked the

order and only to find out they never

shipped the saw because they said that

prepaid visa can't be used for flexpay.

I would not have minded if they did

not take the $79.93 from my account the

same day I ordered it. It is usual

practice for a company to take the

money when they are ready to ship the

order. I have ordered by phone, online

and that is the usual procedure. This

company took my money and did not ship my order and when I talked to the

Customer service, he tells me I have

to send my statement from my bank to

the Accounting and they'll review it

and I'll get my money back in 10 days.

They had my money since the 7th of this

month. They should have returned it

the moment they decided not to accept

my payment. I think they should send

the saw since they already took my

first installment. Theyre causing a

hardship since we need that saw to

be available before the end of the month

I send them a fax on my statement and

a letter showing how dissatisfied I

am with them.

While I agree the company acted disreputably, if all happened as you stated. That said, what you describe may be considered dishonest business practices or possibly fraud, but not a scam. Calling it a scam implies you completely paid for the product (which you state you didn't) and they sent you something different than advertised, or nothing at all. Scam implies an original intent to defraud the customer. Nothing said seems to show the company intends to defraud their customers, as a general practice.

i to have had a problem like yours, it was a little different, but the sm e end results. they tryed to screw me 2 times. dispute the transaction with your credit or debet card company, just explain, what the company did, they should be able to get your money back real quick. they can push us the consumer around, but they are no macth for the card issiueing company. let your company do your biding, they will get your money back, good luck, been there myself.

I hope things go well for you but at this point you are at the mercy of whomever you happen to get on the phone so make it count. when you call, and I hope you do, get someone on the phone that is in charge. Someone who can actually make a decision and help you. If you don't get them the first time don't get upset be courteous, get off the phone and call again until you get to the top or at least close. Have the person put themselves in your shoes, personalize the situation and good luck. I hope you have learned you cannot take anything for granted. Always make sure you are clear on just how each company does things before you give up your info. Again good luck. 'Doc'
