Dr. Joel rifkind DDS made my life miserable! They not only put me through much pain on a basic teeth cleaning but left my mouth a mess! One of the tools they used to go into my mouth with chipped a tooth! I felt it happen and immediately said something in shock. You could tell they were embarrassed but tried covering it up by acting as if that must have happened before I arrived! This is still an ongoing situation and I hope nobody has to experience what I went through...BEWARE
How does somebody in California use an Indiana dentist for a routine cleaning? Maybe the hygenist's arms wouldn't quite reach CA. Somebody screwed something up but as a decade long patient of Dr. Rifkind's, I don't believe it was anyone on his staff.
I read the other reviews. whatgoesaround5529 appears to be disingenuous at best as his/her reviews are all over the country and word for word identical to postings under other screen names (i.e. godisgood). Dr. Rifkind is the best dentist I know! I drive 35 miles to go to him. He and his staff are friendly and professional. I have been going to them for 9 or 10 years and refer all my family and friends. Whenever I hear someone complaining about their dentist - I send them to Dr. Rifkind. They always thank me after their visit. Over the years, I have sent him at least a dozen clients and will continue to do so. His staff is terrific.
Don't know if someone there actually screwed up, but I used to work for the guy. For the most part his staff was delightful (only one notable exception - the so called "manager"), but he is completely unstable and has a volatile temper. The guy is scary and I wouldn't let him work on my dog. People like him will be found out eventually and will have to pay for what they have done wrong in some way or another. Unfortunately, we may never get to see it happen.
