Dillards/Roundtree & York review: Return policy on defectively made leather belt

I purchased a leather mesh belt at the Dillards Big & Tall Men's section at North East Mall in North Richland Hills, Texas. This is probably the 4th or 5th belt like this that I have purchased. The previous belts have worked well and the craftsmanship was great. This particular belt I purchased, brought home, took the tag off, and through away the receipt. About 2 weeks after purchase the belt began to come unbound and the belt became unsightly.

I took the belt back to Dillard's to simply exchange the belt for a new belt. I was told that without the tag (yellow stick on tag) they could not accept the return and could not help me. It was evident that the workmanship of the belt was poor and I simply wanted an exchange.

To no avail. I left with my defective belt that cost me $50.
