Im complaining regarding our new purchased car Dodge Journey 2012 R/T, we bought last Dec 15, 2011. Our salesperson is MO and the Manager is Patrick Hall and Josh. In Jan 3, 2012 we saw a light flashing on the car, in the engine has a problem so we called a towing truck. When we called the Service center it will take 3 days before their gonna fix it because there is a major problem in the engine that they need to fix..it is the OCV and also some of the valves that need to be replaced. How shocking because it is a brand new car. Then we asked them if they can replace it to a new one and they don't want it unless we are going to pay. Then at Jan 25, 2012 there is a smoke coming in the engine then it was towed again they told us that there is a leakage from the engine that going to the coolant...My god, how can you stand that.We choose to buy a brand new car then it has a big damage in the engine and they don't wan to replace the car.Do they really care about the safety of the customer or they just want to sell and they don't care anymore.

I have been to Derrick Dodge twice yesterday, first and last. I was only there because of their commercials, wanted some dollar figures with a plan to return today for a test drive.

The manager I dealt with said he did not want to put in the effort of crunching numbers for me if I was going to go to someone else for $100 less. Hummmmm... Is that not his job? A little customer service perhaps?

I have no desire to deal with a company that had no regard for me. I am sure that another dealership will be happy to oblige with numbers and treat with a maturity level that befits a grown up.

That's it, that's all I have to say.

My partner and I took a 2008 Wrangler on an extended test drive on Saturday and returned it today. Our sales person was Patrick (unsure of his last name) and we were very pleased at the service we received from him. Patrick was helping us a few weeks ago and he suggested we take the Jeep for an extended test drive when the time suited us, as we were unsure if it was the right vehicle for a family with twin toddlers.
We left my partner's Saturn Ion at the dealership in perfect condition. When we returned the Jeep we sat down with Patrick and told him we loved it, that the extended test drive convinced us a Jeep was the vehicle for us, but that we would not be interested in buying today. We explained our plan was to buy another vehicle once my car dies (the death is imminent). We did say because of his service we would come back to him when that day came, and that we also wanted for him to keep in touch with any great deals. Patrick did not press the matter and told us the manager, Richard McOnicky, wanted to meet us as he did with everyone. This is where our experience took a very ugly turn. The manager was aggressive with throwing numbers at us. Our twin girls were tired and restless and my partner told him that we would not buy today and that we wanted to leave. The manager did not stop and became very defensive, repeatedly asking if he had asked us if he were going to buy. When we said no, he continued to throw numbers at us. We stated again that looking at numbers is something we might want to do on a day when we did not have the children with us, but that today was not the day. He did not stop. We had to interrupt him mid sentence to say it was time to leave. We left and I went to the lot to pick-up our car. Once I got to it, I noticed a panel on the driver side door was broken and dangling off the car. Patrick saw this and said it was not like this when he parked it there the night before. Patrick got the manager who said, in a very flippant manner, that it could have been from the rain or from closing the door. This man took no ownership or fault. I told him if I returned the Jeep with something like that broken they would want me to pay for it...he said no they would not. He offered to have his people look at it the next day and "glue it if they have to". One, Derrick Dodge is half way across the city from me, two, he should have offered to fix it on the spot and give me a loaner. He kept deflecting fault to the rain or wind. This was an insult to my intelligence. When I said the reason did not matter to me but it was broken while in their possession he got in my face and yelled that he already told me someone would look at it. He then abruptly turned around and left. All of this happened with my young daughters watching from the office window. This is unacceptable and abusive behaviour anywhere, as was recognized by my children - they later asked why the man was mad at me. Even Patrick stated that he could not believe his manager reacted in that way. As it stands right now, I will not buy From Derrick Dodge or any other Jeep dealership unless this is resolved in a way that is satisfactory to me and my family. And I will not be returning to have my partner's car glued - the broken piece needs to b replaced, and frankly I have no interest in returning to Derrick Dodge for any reason. With how the economy is, one would think customers would be treated much better than this...
