Vialuxe / Scam and cheating

United States Review updated:
Contact information:

This company has claimed that it was an affiliate of authorized luxury merchandise dealers in order to sell product they didn't have. They offered to stack the authorized retailers against each other for the best price. They did NOT carry the product, but said they were just 'basically' an authorized dealer, but they themselves technically, were not. The stores in the zip finder are not so called 'affiliates' of this company, and absolutely have no interest in Vialuxe. They call themselves a 'network of authorized retailers' and again, they are not. Beware.

I completely disagree with your comments about vialuxe. I recently bought a Cartier Roadster from them.

They are a service provider to watch collectors like me. They partner with Authorized retailers of Luxury brands and make it available for people like me.

I am not sure what you were told.

The sales person was really cordial, when I asked who vialuxe is, he took his time explaining me the service. I was so pleased with the sales person knowledge of these fine mechanical watches and that i was buying for authorized retailer, i had no issue buying it from them.

The product arrived on the date as promised, it had the papers, orginal box. It was sold to me from authorized retailer like i was explained during my purchase.

I am very pleased and will definitely use them again.

Bottom line, they are service providers who bring luxury to busy professional like me who do not have the time to visit store but still want the genuine article from an authorized retailer.

I bought something from them and everything went exactly as they said it would - and I got the product on the date promised.

Ya sure, they didn't have the product in hand - but they sourced a watch my local dealer didn't have in stock -and got it to me for a fair price - not a great price - but a fair price.

I agree with the complaint. They are not a partner with Authorized Retailers. I am associated with one of them on the Vialuxe site. They acquired our company name and currently we have NO partnership or affiliation with Vialuxe. As of now we do not plan on having one.

We've talked to several other stores that are in Vialuxe's "network" they had no clue who Vialuxe even was. Bottom line, if you want the real thing, go to a real dealer. If they can legally be sold through through internet, plenty of real authorized online stores will have them. If they cannot, go to the brand itself, and you'll find an authorized dealer.

Again Vialuxe isn't authorized and the brands certainly do not authorize this sort of action.

ViaLuxe lists to the best of our ability every authorized retaiker for every brand on our site. We provide this service for free to authorized retailers. We bear all the costs related to creating, managing and publishing these dealer listings. Every other consumer category has one or more websites that list authorized dealers and help consumers find, research and buy the products they are looking for. Zillow.com for real estate, Expedia.com for travel, Cars.com for cars and Cnet.com for electronics. If you have any questions please contact ViaLuxe at info@vialuxe.com

Given their sister company lussori has paid Usweb to blog for them. I would take some of the glowing vialuxe comments with a grain of salt.

I call BS on you Ned Taylor. You offer this service free? You pit the retailers against other in order to exploit the prices of the highest quality brands in the world, and your actually doing it for free? Heres some news for you Ned, luxury jewelry and watches aren't airline tickets. These families have spent generations building these brands, only for you to attempt to get retailers to auction down the piece. Vialuxe will take the fine jewelry and the luxury out of watches. We've asked for them to remove our brand and they said that they will not as long as some public retailers carried it. We will see about that.

Excellent idea to stick up and say "Let me explain." You want an explanation of how they contact those different retailers? Here is one of the conversations I had with a Vialuxe rep named "Steve" and how he described the process.

You are now chatting with 'steve'

steve: How may I help you today?
Jamie: Your ad said that you had a large collection of Mikimoto, are all of the pieces online for sell?
steve: Most are. Which item are you looking for?
Jamie: Mikimoto Pearl Lariat Necklace
steve: Do you have a model number?
Jamie: A21
steve: one moment
steve: IS there more to that number
Jamie: no.
steve: There are a few of them
steve: Please describe it in more detail. There a several to choose from
steve: I just forund it.
steve: I will look up the price
Jamie: I told you the name, and the model number. This is a very expensive product, I would expect to have someone slightly more knowledgeable with this caliber of luxury jewelry.
steve: It is not a matter of knowledge, it is a matter of finging the image you are looking at
Jamie: What can you tell me about this piece?
steve: I do not have the price on hand, I do have to make a call for price and avilablility
steve: May I give you a call with that information within this hour?
Jamie: Where is your showroom located?
steve: This is an important piece of jewelry and should be available
steve: We are a network of authorized Mikimoto retailers across the country
steve: We can have this necklace shipped to your door from one of the finest jewelrs in the country
Jamie: So you aren't the authorized dealer?
steve: We are affiliated with a network of dealers
steve: We proces the sale on their behalf. When you order thorugh us you are in fact making a direct purchase fromt he retailer
Jamie: Hmmm... I think I'd be more comfortable in dealing directly with a dealer, what benefit do I have in going with you versus an authorized retailer?
steve: We are esentially the dealer.
steve: You have all the benefits of buying forma local dealer plus the added convenience of shopping form home
steve: We only sell on behalf of the finest stores in the country and we find you the best offer
Jamie: Do you offer a list of your stores?
steve: This particular item can be ordered from one of many sotres
steve: store
steve: if you prefer you can use the dealer locator which is also a feature of our site
steve: And you can call direct
steve: But I can save you the effort
Jamie: I think'll keep hunting. I appreciate your time.

So I was trying to find a gift for my girlfriend online and I found Vialuxe. They referred me to a retailer who was helpful but in the end more expensive (in this kind of market, people want and expect a great price!). A co-worker of mine told me to look at amazon and blue nile both of which had a great selection and way cheaper prices. I trust both of these companies as I have bought a lot of things from them over the years and their service is great. My question is...I don't understand why someone would want to pay more at an authorized retailer when I can buy something from a trusted source like amazon or blue nile. I want to do my shopping online and I want a great price and great selection ...like millions of other people.

All I have to say is that this isn't an Amazon (presenting pricing and items per dealer) or a Blue Nile (the designers themselves banding to together through one platform). This company could just as easily buy this product from a dealer that may not be authorized, one who's authorization could be in jeopardy, from a company going out of business or number of jewelers or black market dealers that may not offer any support on this piece once it's sold. I don't care what they tell you, the fact that we are listed as one of their dealers, yet we've never heard of this company makes it illegitimate (we could be illegitimate). Visit the designers actual website and find your dealer there. No need to pay some pseudo middleman company, who they themselves cannot offer offer authorized support for a piece. If you don't care, and you just want the piece, you might try your luck on Ebay (very low prices).

Vialuxe is owned by Luxe International. Luxe international is the parent company of Lussori Inc and Vialuxe Inc. Lussori is a watch & jewelry retailer based in Carmel, with an office in Sunnyvale. Vialuxe also has an office in Sunnyvale.

The Vialuxe internet domain vialuxe.com has a contact: mchatter@lussori.com (http://whois.domaintools.com/vialuxe.com).
The Lussori internet domain has a contact: mchatter@lussori.com. Mrinal Chatterjee (http://www.linkedin.com/in/mchatter).

Do they both host a rackspace, they both have the same domian registrar contact, and both share the same on Oakmead Parkway in Sunnyvale. Does Vialuxe have a retail store? Do they carry any products? Do they first recommend you to purchase from Lussori? Are their search results skewed toward specific retailers?

Looks like these scam artists are at it again. They have closed down www.vialuxe.com and have now opened www.contenix.com. Same concept, same contact, same business address. Scam, scam, scam stay away
