I am writing you to warn of a home improvement scam artist based in your area. I have traced him to a trailer house in your area with the help of an investigator. He claims to be licensed EPA Refrigerant for AC Freon purposes and to have an NC Contractors and HVAC License. All are untrue. He also claims to be bonded and insured. He prays on houses about to be sold and can make the repairs a buyers request from the home inspection report.
He ripped me off and I referred him to my neighbor and he ripped them off to and then disappears.
He goes by the name TW or Tim Wallace and business name A Better Choice Home Improvement. I have traced many other he has ripped of in Union, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and other nearby counties.
I have attached his picture and describe him as 6 feet tall, long hair in a pony-tail, really bad teeth (brown and rotten) and skinny. He is a heavy smoker and is thought to be a drug-user. He is into guns and usually carries a pistol. He usually drives a pickup truck.

Yuk - that guy is nasty looking. Could win prize of Nastied Lucky Trash of the Century. Kind of Jerry Garcia looking and he is only 45 but looks like 75 from hardcore drug-use and drinking probably.
I would not have hired him if I was you. Just looking at his picture he does not look like a professional. Kind of looks like a guy you would see on the news arrested for something like drug dealing or something similar.
He stole money from me too. $1000 to change AC part and never came back to do job. Disconnected his phone and changed his cell phone number. Real low life. I saw comment that he brushes his teeth with a BBQ Spare Rib. I agree. He teeth are all nasty. Brown, green, yellow, rotten and bleeding, chipped. He definately must have a serious and long drug problem to have teeth like that at 40 years old. He also looks like he is 60 but he is only 40 from the drinking, drugs and heavy smoking. Waste of a life if you ask me.
Only people with teeth like TW Wallace at the age of 40 are junkies. Guys been pulling the same scam in area for years. Messed up friends AC unit. Also tells people he is licensed plumber or Electrician. Takes money and does not do work as promised. Just maybe gets money for his habits..
TW has ripped off many people in Lake Norman area. He says he works for J&J and has fake business cards. Got me for $500 deposit and never came back. His phone is now disconnected. Hope he uses the $500 for tooth paste and a tooth brush.
