I bought a DVD from these people the other day for $19.95. When we got it, you could not even tell if it was a movie or not. The picture was so digital, all you saw were little squares and some music playing. I emailed these people an told them about it and asked them if they would refund our money? I was told this was the best copy in the known world.
Do not buy anything from these people. Their product is second rate and they do not stand behind what they sell.
I guess I am out $19.95.
The way their email sounds, they will take your money and sleep very well knowing they just scored another victim.

I purchased a dvd on May 1st and the charge hit my credit card May 1st but as of today I still have not received anything. I have emailed numerous times and yet they never have replied. I just turned them into my credit card company as fraud and hopefully they will get something done. Companies like this are what can ruin a birthday gift. The phone number alone is a scam when it will not let you speak to anyone and then just tells you to email. What a rip off!

I bought the DVD Maximum Overdrive for $24.90. When I got the DVD it was a pirated copy with a photocopied cover jacket. The DVD had no writing on it, just blank. I tried to play it and it didn't even work. It can't even be read by the player. I emailed twice with no reply and tried calling but you can't leave a message it just says to email them and then hangs up. Finally got a response email saying they'd sent another DVD. I replied I just want a refund...25 days later and no email, no DVD, no refund.

I ordered a DVD on July 5th that I still have not received. The order hit my credit card on July 6th. After 3.5 weeks, I e-mailed them requested they trace my order. They "apologized" and said they would get another one in the mail to me. That was 3-4 weeks ago. I have since e-mailed them and asked that they refund my purchase to my credit card, and I, of course got no response. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau, as well as the attorney general of the state of Nevada. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from SILVER AGE!

I also bought a DVD from silverage and was shocked to see a bootleg copy. The FBI needs to shut these crooks down.

I completely agree with poor Wanda's post of being scammed by silveragedvd.@live. They claim to specialize in rare, out-of-print, and unreleased movies for the North American market - when in reality it's nothing more than a slick con run by two low lives who use alternate addresses and names to bamboozle customers, as well as other specialty movie sellers where they get their stock from and also cornhole them as well. I am speaking from firsthand experience where I ended up being victimzed and it cost me around $60.00.

If you want to know exactly what these ### are up to and want to make their lives as unpleasant as they make it for the avergae John and Jane here is some information that might be useful to anyone contemplating using this most dishonest "private business" I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. First off silverage@live.com operates under the user ID name of "dimelive" on ioffer.com a site similar to eBay and sell.com. However when you go (as in our case sell, not buying - but I'm sure the same scam is applied to buyers except in reverse) to sell an item to this individual he will give a change of address at the last minute before you sent him your merchandise, or payment to a Roy Tyrell at silveragedvd@live.com with a mailing address that reads 235 Hershey Drive, Aledo Illinois, 61231, United States. We e-mailed Ralph and Roy to confirm the change of address three times and never recieved an acknowledgement. So in good faith we mailed the items he had purchased from us on ioffer via Xpresspost from Canada because he whined and complained that standard air mail would take too long. Then the real nightmare began... first off this lowlife on ioffer (look at his buying track record it speaks volume, plus the guy has a rating of -1) filed a non-recption claim, then filed a dispute with PayPal (where we re-imbursed his entire trnasaction) so as to not have any problems with PayPal since they always favor the buyer first, but the real kicker was when the parcel we had sent him which cost us $22.99 - more than intial sale came back to us with from the US Postal service with "No Such Street / ?". Yet while registered on ioffer silverage@live.com a.k.a. ioffer user ID "dimlive" his address in his messages clearly states Aledo, IL - yet when he buys you get the above mentioned California address - and when you try to get confirmation these bozos never reply, they will however press you and stress you to get (or as in Wanda's case, buy) it out to them as fast as possible with intimidating tactics, negative feedback, non-recption of items, etc, etc... Again to anyone reading this comment PLEASE AVOID silveragedvd@live.com PRODUCTS IT IS A BONA FIDE SCAM TO SHAFT BUYERS AS WELL AS SELLERS ALL ACROSS NORTH AMERICA AND GOD KNOWS WHERE ELSE!. Being specialty movie sellers ourselves we have always prided ourselves on excellent customer service as in getting quality items for buyers and out to buyers on time (our feedbacks on eBay and ioffer speak in volumes) - and although there is fine line between grey market movies it's still no excuse to stick it to the consumers or sellers. Siveragedvd@live.com specializes in getting your money out of you and then leaves you out in the cold so you can die from exposure. Already the @live.com address should send up warning flares but we took a chance with them and got royally screwed from the front, backwards, and sideways. So again as final warning to anyone who has any dealings with Roy Tyrell from so-called "silveragedvd@live.com" a.k.a. User ID Member on ioffer.com "dimelive" - aviod them at all costs or you will end paying very, very dearly for having done so, kinda like getting an virtual STD, it is one of the most horrible experiences we have ever had the misfortune of going through in our years of selling. On the plus side I was able to share on this forum and hopefully provide a service to other film buffs, collectors, and enthusiasts of rare or discontinued titles so that they too can avoid being burned and scorched to the bone.

Again Wanda very sorry to hear about your troubles with these low-life bottom feeding parasites. If you purchased your movie through them with PayPal file a claim for a refund immidiately and explain to them that you were sent something that is "unwatchable", if you really wanna hurt them then claim you were sold a "bootlegged film" and that will make the water boil even more for them. If you paid via MO than (not to be mean here) your [censored]-outta-luck, but you at least have their mailing address in California and can send them a piece of you mind as I did. That at least was not "returned back to sender" as our movie parcel was when mailed it out to their alternate bogus address in Illinois.

In closing all I can say for SLIVERAGEDVD@LIVE.COM is... FRAUDULENT-SCAM-ARTISTS-WANNA-BE-BOOTLEGGERS-WHO-STEAL-YOUR-MONEY-AND-PROVIDE-NO-CUSTOMER-SERVICE-WHATSOEVER... it's cretins like this that give reputable "specialty movie sellers" the bad stigma of "bootleggers". Not only are they wanna-be inferior bootleggers, but thieves of the first order as well.
