We did the phone presentation for Sanctuary Belize. They ask you to fly down and pay to tour the property. We gave them a credit card number to "hold" our reservation. After doing more research we discovered MANY complaints. Also the advertise many things that we know are false or bold lies. We asked to cancel. They had run our credit card the day we had the phone call. We were STALKED to not cancel. We asked for a refund. It took a week of demanding a refund to see it issued.
For the record there is NO International Airport being built. There is NO medical in Placincia, Belize much less a hospital., etc...
This place is a Scam.

There is no International Airport in Placencia, and there have been no planes landing on it. Tarmac is so bad, it would need to be ripped out an replaced.
There is no "medical facility" at Sanctuary, and probably never will be. Only hope for any completed development at Sanctuary Belize, will depend on whether the current lawsuit filed by almost 200 lot owners, wins, and they take over ownership of the development from the current "developer".
And yes, the entire "sales team" for Sanctuary and Kanantik are full of "it", and you should never believe a word they say, without doing your due diligence, and actually talking to as many owners as you can. Plus, check out the websites and Facebook pages about the lawsuits.

I also was stalked by CA. I was told there would be a medical facility built and that Southwest Airlines offered service to Belize City out of Jacksonville FL. Neither was true and after placing a lot on hold, my work situation changed to where I was unable to tour within the time frame CA felt reasonable. Even had I been able to travel within their desired time frame, the lowest airfare I could find was $700.00 PP. I lost 1/2 of my deposit because I was unable to tour. That was $500.00 of hard earned money. Lesson learned... I would still like to retire to Belize but I will follow International Living's advise and seek out a local real estate professional instead of getting scammed by Sanctuary Belize and their high pressures and false promises.

Yes, we do encourage clients to come down and view the property to make sure it is what you desire. You can come view the property however you wish, to make it easy we do offer an inexpensive tour package but it is not mandatory you attend one of our tours to purchase property. I'm sorry you feel it took you demanding a refund for a week to have it handled, however, we actually process our refunds once a week. Also, for the record... There is a new International Airport being built in Placencia. In fact, they have already had a few planes land there. There is medical in Placencia. We are also building a medical facility at Sanctuary Belize. Hope this helps to clarify any confusion.
