On March 8th, 2013 my wife and I drove over 300 miles to purchase a used 2006 Subaru Baja from Ralph Johnson at Premier Sports Cars/Promotocars. Upon looking over the vehicle, I stated that I smelled antifreeze, and Ralph responded that it was not antifreeze, but it was engine cleaner instead, and that he had the vehicle thoroughly inspected. Within 10 days, the vehicle leaked a quart of antifreeze out of the head gasket. I contacted Ralph and he assured me that he would take care of it. After numerous e-mails and phone calls back & forth, Ralph will no longer respond to my e-mails or phone calls. The price to repair this vehicle is over $1600.00. Also, Ralph never mailed the key fob as per purchase agreement.
Wow, deja vue, but in reverse, with Ralph! I traded my 2006 Acura TL in on a 2011 Lexus. Prior to signing, I was promised a small dent repair and a key fob for the Lexus. I have yet to receive both, HOWEVER, I am being sued for $2900.00 to fix the transmission on the traded-in Acura. I never had issues with the Acura, including transmission, and I drove the Acura 2.5 hours to get to Premier. The Acura had 167k on the odo, and they claim that the tranny went belly -up the day I traded it in. Of course, it took them a couple of weeks to get that information to me... you do the math.
Beware these guys. They have a history of this kind of manipulation. Do your research and stay away!
