I am disappointed with an Immigration Consultancy company called "ItsCanadaTime.com" I was mislead into believing that Canada is looking for people of my age. I am currently 43 and was told by the Immigrations agent that it will not be a problem to apply, however on further investigation I found out that I will not receive any points for my age. I was also mislead by their vague terms and conditions. Their terms and conditions states that a refund will be due if no documents were provided. I was asked to pay 400 Euros to ascertain if I was eligible to apply for a Permanent Residency Visa. I duly paid the 400 Euros and after a few days I was advised that I was successful and will proceed to the documents collection stage. I was told to pay 4500 Euros. I made arrangements to pay an amount of 1500 Euros upfront and the balance over a period of 3-6 months. I decided not to continue with this company after my investigation of the age criteria. I immediately contacted the company and advised that due to matters beyond my control I was unable to continue with the application. I did not want to appear rude and report the agent and advised the company that I will apply in the next 6-12 months. The company policy is that a refund is due if no documents were provided. I did not submit any documents and cannot understand why the company is refusing to refund my 1500 Euros. The company is using the excuse that I submitted information on stage 1 and they cannot refund me. I am happy to pay the 400 Euros as a service was provided, however I cannot understand how the company can be so unethical in withholding onto my 1500 Euros without providing any service. The company is unethical in their practice as they have no intention of refunding clients by trapping them with their vague refund policy on their website. Why was the refund process not properly explained to me? I have lost faith in this company and would still want to proceed with the immigration process on my own. The company is also refusing to provide me with copies of our telephonic interaction. I feel that the company is going against the Consumer Protection Act and they need to stop exploiting consumers. All I require is a refund of my 1500 Euros minus bank charges.
