Bad Admins - Lots of Sockpuppets - Started out nice and friendly but it has become infested with a lot of confusing processes and people wanting only to win Free Perfume. Most importantly, the website has amateur Administrators who are careless about how they speak to their members and cannot speak English well themselves so they tend to put out a lot of misconstrued postings. The sites claims to be for English speaking people, but MOST are from Europe and have trouble understanding plain English. Cannot recommend this site if you are a serious Perfume person as they have load of sock puppets and having multiple accounts is quite easily done.
Agree with lots of sock puppets and administrators have no way installed to block multiple accounts. Really encourages a lot of silly, immature people on there who like to gang up on others and make snide comments. Lots of unfriendly cliques in the forum, snobbery, and most people there aren't worth your time. Most are pretty uneducated about perfume.
I have been on the site for many years and never had any problems until I began to visit the forums. As soon as I did that, I was exposed to ignorant and angry users who just wanted to create problems and criticize. If anyone says anything that someone else does not like, the user is reported to the admins and is blocked immediately and without warning. The main admin is extremely rude. He addresses people as though they were his slaves simply because they are users on the site. Anything that is a true opinion, on perfumes or the site itself, will get deleted. The other users constantly kiss butt and assert that they always follow the rules without questioning. And don't forget that if you write a perfume review that others do not like, that review will eventually disappear as more and more people give you thumbs down. That ensures that only positive reviews remain in the long run.
you're totally right, I agree with everything you said. People should nknow that admins do an awful job there, almost mockery. The regular user has basically no rights to express anything but perfume raving reviews. Anything else besides that and you're banned without warning. And they do not respond to complaints on legal issues. Also, they tend to threat a lot and they mock and insult users. Yes, that's the situation there.
Now, about the users- mostly infatuated europeans from upper class. The rest- american blue collars who try to act smart but only proof the oposite... both categories lick a lot of admin ### to stay on that forum, and desperately search and ask for guidelines for everything, as they can't think for themselfs. It's all a big mess.One of the most awful perfume forums on the internet, if not the worse.
And yes, there are people with multiple acounts, also a lot of people who display perfume collections they don't have in reality and/or write reviews on perfumes they never actually smelt !
