Hi lads these people are real ### and how they get away with it is just ridiculous. I do have a a number which is supposed to be a customer services number and i have rung it numerous times since they stole £70 from my account but as you could imagine its impossible to get anyone to answer well it does ring then says that you will be transfered to the next available operator but you dont an automated message comes on to say leave a breif msg name and contact number and someone will be in touch within 24 hrs as you would suspect no-one ever returns the call. I have called my bank and they can't do anything for 30 days so now its just a waiting game. If you haven't already contacted your bank i would advise that you do asap and hope that they can sort it out.

Unfotunatley theres nothing the authorities can do but my bank have said that 30 after the money has been taken they will refund it and then they will track these people down and get it back of them but yea cancel your debit card just to be on the safe side because if you dont they could always go and take more money.

They tried to do the same to me, told me they needed my bank card details to confirm my identity, i asked if they were going to take any money he said no, only to be told at the end of the conversation "i had been accepted for a loan and they would take their fee once it was confirmed" he then said thanks for your time and look out for an email within 24 hours, then just hung up! I waited 24 hours, and was bombarded with Payday Loan companies, i tried to ring them back to get them to take me of their system and surprise surprise, i need to speak to customer service, i got put through twice 27 minutes and and 33 minutes, no answer, just saying i'm in a queue and they would answer shortly, well just like someone at the top, they didn't answer. So i phoned them back again and spoke to Andy, I told them to take me of their system before i reported them to the FSA he said i can put you through i told him no one answers and every says the same thing no one answers, "i will get them to ring you back he said" so i told him not to bother and i was going to cancel my card at the bank and just report them before they could take the money, which i have done. AVOID!

Money Essentials are absolutely and categorically not thieves and certainly do not just take money from people without their authorisation. It is slanderous to suggest otherwise. Money Essentials are one of the most consumer friendly loan brokerage companies in the UK and we pride ourselves on an open, ethical and transparent business model. We have been issued and hold a consumer credit license, recently renewed by the Office of Fair Trading. The Office of Fair Trading has complete knowledge of our business model and we are a fully licensed credit brokerage company.
When you the customer, make a loan application with Money Essentials, you are advised we do not charge upfront fees. This is because we do not believe it is fair for a customer to pay for a service they have not yet received. We aim for our customers to receive a loan before our fee is taken. You choose when you pay the fee, usually between 1 and 4 weeks after the initial application is made. This date is agreed and then confirmed by you, our customer. If you’re not happy with the service by the time it comes to pay our fee, you can simply contact us and rearrange the date on which the fee is taken, or cancel the service completely, whichever you prefer.
We aim to match you, our customer with the very best lender that is available to you based on your circumstances. Because we work independently on behalf of our customer and not on behalf of the lenders, quite often the best lender for you is one we don’t have a direct relationship with. We therefore won’t necessarily receive information from lenders to tell us if and when a loan is paid out and so unfortunately, there is no way that it would be possible for us to charge the fee on pay out of the loan.
If an application is taking longer than expected and it looks like you, our customer, will not receive a loan, you can easily rearrange the date on which the fee is paid at any time by simply contacting us. We cannot help you, cancel, or refund unless you tell us you are unhappy with our service. We also cannot offer you alternative loan options unless you make us aware that the first matches we make are not right for you. If you tell us you do not like the loan options provided in the first instance, every effort will be made to help find you a more suitable lender.
If any customer is not satisfied with the service in any way, all you need to do is contact us and request a refund. Queries of this nature will usually be dealt with within 7 working days. If any customer wishes to contact us to cancel their application for a loan, or request a refund please email me at enquiries@moneyessentials.co.uk. I hope this helps. It is essential that you contact us directly if you need assistance.
Kind regards
Money Essentials

Please do as I have done, change your account details with your bank, and stop them doing it again. You only have to get a new debit card, this will give you a new number, AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR NEW NUMBER TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY SEND YOU CONTACT DETAILS BY MAIL AND A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Is there any thing I can do or any thing the authorities would do to get my money back? This must be a criminal offence, surely!

I am furious. this company have stolen £70 from my account on the understanding that the amount would not be debited until the loan agreement was completed. How do I get in contact with them?
