Say NO to AmKICo.
There's a kitchen remodeling company, American Kitchen Corp out of Burlington NC (AmKiCo) that have been leaving flyers around our block.
These packages cleverly contain a lump of granite -which you will surely want to fling at them!
(Their work is so horrid that they have to market far from their home area -where their reputation is tattered to almost and hour away! This is a clue of the sort of service you will get! They never drive out to complete work)
All those considering these Bozos--
**Please be aware! While the sales and project people talk a great sales pitch and make lofty promises, they leave work undone and can't be trusted. Thus we urge you to avoid them at all costs. The designs they attempt template take up to at least 8 hours over 2 days (yes all while they are camping out in your house -no real office?) are seriously flawed and absolutely inaccurate.
Their flawed designs help you lose cabinet space as they are too lazy to actually corder custom sized cabinets.
Well, sadly we had entrusted them to complete a kitchen cabinet project Labor Day week of 2013 and they STILL have not completed to this day!
The sub contractors they send out do, at best sub-par work - if any -and must be prodded constantly to redo and glaring correct mistakes and sloppy work.
The dolts who showed up did one days work and then left the country and the job open for a month!
The quality of cabinets and workmanship is largely below any standard and definitely not installed as promised! The installer assured us the cabinets were imported...from China!
As With any horrible contractors -They will show up after long absences for pay but not to do a stitch of work.
We had to contract 3rd parties to fix their horrid mess.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Their Doors are closed at the 2516-A Burlington, NC address... They mistakenly left a three page sheet of recent/present customers in N.C. - as of Fri. 13th, 2014

They are also not paying the subs. Heard thru one worker that they lost a granite company cause they weren't paying. The other companies they brought in wont do anything until paid in full because of american kitchens reputation. Plumbers supply, and electrical suppliers r owed tons.
