BEWARE COLLEGE CAR COMPANY COLUMBUS. I recently purchased a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro for my daughter to take to school. I was told the vehicle was put through an extensive safety inspection and there were no mechanical issues. About a week later I took the car to my local Audi dealer for a fresh oil change and found out the engine was "sludged" and would cost $4700.00 to replace. The oil pressure was just high enough to make the oil light stay off. The Audi technician told me this is NOT something they would not have known about. Even the most basic mechanic would have spotted it. Turns out they bought it at some repo auction in town, ( after some research through Carfax, that's where most of they're cars come from ), and figured they'd pass it on to me. I contacted the dealership several times, without a return call, and when I finally went down there they told me it was "As-Is" and there was nothing they could do! A week later, cmon, this was supposed to be my daughters first car. BEWARE.

2003 Lexus SC 430 continue: The Lexus dealer advised that the dealer would have known about the check engine light and suspension. This is not something that would have went not noticed. Someone had to turn the check engine light off. The car cost $9, 600. Repairs were over $3.400.

Folks, Beware Very Much Aware of College Car Company, Columbus Ohio. 3021 North High Street, [protected]: I recently (August 31, 2015) purchased a 2003 Lexus SC 430 from them. I was told the car was in good shape and that the President of the company drove it for two years and decided he wanted to drive another car on the lot. Thus, the Lexus was put up for sale. I purchased it for $9, 600 dollars. I was told it was a used car, older, and was in good shape. On the way home, to Pennsylvania, the check engine light came on, the VSC light and VSC Off light and tire pressure light came on, . I was somewhat confused. Thus, I made an appointment to take the car to a local Lexus dealer in PA. I asked that they inspect the car for safety reasons. They checked the car and stated that it was not safe to drive. Here is what they found: (1) Evap Leaking. one hose was off and another hose cracked. Replaced cracked Pass PCV Hose and connected other hose. (2) Suspension System Malfunction: Replaced both front upper control arms and lower ball joints. (3) Hood Trim falling off., (4) Replaced power steering pump., it was leaking (5) Differential Leaking/Replaced it. (6) New front end parts needed for wheel alignment. This company is not credible. I was told their mechanic went over car and found no problems. It cost me $3, 500 in repairs. I called the company to advise of the concerns. I was told the one who sold me the call would call the next day. I am still waiting for the call. Yea, right! However, I have noticed this company has a history of doing "shady business" and misleading it customers. Suggestion: DO NOT BUY ANY AUTOMOBILE FROM THIS COMPANY OR SALES PERSONS CONNECTED WITH IT! I HAVE PAID THE LEXUS DEALER TO FIXED ALL THE CONCERNS THE CAR. IN TOTAL, I HAVE SPENT ALMOST HALF OF WHAT THE CAR COST. PEOPLE: DO YOUR HOMEWORK! THUS, YOU CAN AVOID DEALERS LIKE COLLEGE CAR COMPANY OF 3201 NORTH HIGH STREET, COLUMBUS OHIO [protected], who have been in business a long time, from taking advantage of honest people, .

I recently purchased a Mazda 6 from College Car Company and I am very pleased. I did my own research (including this site) and decided to take the car to my own mechanic. He said he was very familiar with the dealership and had nothing negative to say. He even pointed out that his brother purchased a car from there about five years ago. I would give them a 5 star rating but the office felt small and crowded. All and all I am very happy with my experience.

College Car Company sold me a 2005 Mini Cooper for $5, 000.00. Within one and a half months of purchase, the car needed almost $10, 000.00 in repairs! I tried calling them respectively to settle this and received the most rude customer service I have ever experienced. I was hung up on by sales rep Bill and even the OWNER Paul! After several lies and sad business College Car has screwed me over and I lost thousands! After research the Attorney General’s Office said they have 13 reports against them! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy a car from this dealer. I was not the first but with your help I can be the last. I hope you find this helpful.
