This company is a scam. I filed a claim with them after my daughter's car was damaged beyond repair and they gave me every indication that the claim was going to be paid and there was nothing outstanding. My last call with them on 06/01, the rep indicated that the check had already been mailed to me. I called them on 06/12/2018 to get an update on the check and the rep tells me that my claim had been denied. They told me to go get the unused portion of the GAP premiums from the dealer. My claim/statement can easily be validated, since all of their calls are recorded for "quality control." They can't be serious about any quality. This is my first online complaint report ever. This company pushed me over the edge and consumers must take notice so they aren't victimized by Classictrak.com

I do not know if you have seen this, but I am dealing with an attorney and we are thinking of a class action suit these people.

Classic Gap Insurance made me jump through all kind of hoops for my total loss claim had to get affidavit notarize documents accident report payment history copy of insurance the buyers order and more , just to pay a portion of my Total Loss I thought Gap Insurance was to ensure that you wouldn’t owe anything when your car is Total Loss but they will find a reason not to pay the full amount… I’m almost sure there will be a class action suit on them one day hopefully soon and I can be a part of that

Same thing happened to me they told me to call dealer because they owed me for warranty. I’m out 2300 because of them and don’t know what to do

Classic took 3 months to pay an $1800 claim and decided they weren’t going to pay the excess interest that accrued and shorted me 700 hundred bucks! The only contact they made was when I called them. These people a heartless crooks. They take a already bad situation and make it worse These people are terrible

I am a new victim too
My claim was denied because the company said I refinanced my original car loan and lowered my monthly payment? Anyways, from a hard personal experience with this company, please Do NOT waste your money and efforts buying any service from them. It took them about three months to come up with that decision which I believe was unfair for GAP insurance that costs less than $2000.
Be careful and find another GAP insurance for your property.

I had an accident on January 15, 2023, after waiting a long time they said they won't pay the difference of what I owe. I took GAP insurance exactly for that! I paid $799 in gap insurance for a service they won't pay for! I will call a lawyer and report them to the Department of Financial Institutions.

I’ve seen how this company operates it’s horrible. Unethical and in cancellations dept, there’s a main employee who abuses Kratom all day, eats consistently on the phone 8 hours a day and has no problem sleeping at night lying to people. Call center full of eaters, they only care about themselves and hate their job and complain all the time. Unfortunately upper management just lets it go

They also denighed my claim too, for no reason. Please report this company to your state's Department of Financial Institutions. They have the power to revoke Classic-trak's licence to sell financial products.

Classictrak is sold thru kai car dealerships. dont buy this gap insurance thur classictrak. worst company ive ever dealt with. they wont pay for your car unless you have like 10 documents. they want car payment history, police report, odometer statement, original bill of sale just to mention a few. over 2 thousand dollars. get gap insurance thru your real insurance company. or just throw away 300 dollars. choice is yours.

I also bought classictrak insurance. they are so rude on the phone. they give you no information. its a worthless co. pany save ypur money. go thru your I surance company. what a waste of time and money. stay away from classictrak

I had an accident on August 21, 2018 and it has been the worse ordeal ever. I have called so many times to have the claim reviewed. They are trying there hardest not to pay the total amount. I have uploaded all documents in a timely manner.. within 1day of the total loss information. They don't listen to you. They say they will call you back and don't. Make sure when dealing with this company you know your math or they will screw you. The actual claims department does not want to speak with you and because no one in the office knows what there doing there is no one overseeing the process. They say that they sent the check but it doesn't get to the lender for 20 days+ I am very disappointed in this company.
