Cindy purchased a puppy from me and them 3 months later contacted me and told me the above which is when her post was posted . Mange has a 21 day life cycle the puppy had not been on my property in 3 months there's no way it could have came from my place . I have never seen mange in person or experienced it with my dogs I even sent pictures of the parents to Cindy that were taken that day to prove that my dogs did not have mange and she just brushed it off like it didn't matter they were perfectly healthy dogs . In the above post that got cut off for some reason I explained that we had discussed the puppies extreme small size and that to my knowledge she was just really small but played and acted like a normal I took her to the vet she passed a health check and I flew her to them .Also they are hinting that the puppy was very young I legally can not ship a puppy until it is 8 weeks old .

I flew the puppy to them and did not hear from them for 2 weeks which is when they told me what was written above and she had not been to the vet yet . I told them the only place she had been was my house and my mothers we used to carry her around with us because she was so cute and little . I told them to bathe her immediately and take her to the vet the thing is I would not have been able to ship her if she was in that condition(fleas and ticks ask you vet friends about this ) . The puppy did end up having some type of rare congenital deformity that nobody know what it is and I offered to replace the puppy and told them they didn't have to give theirs back or anything and they declined and said they didn't want another . if anybody would like to speak with me feel free to contact me a novemberstars79@yahoo.com. I just found these complaints and of course very upset by them I love my berners they are my family companions and the things in these reviews are from people who love their dogs as much as I do and want to place blame somewhere for their unusual unfortunate circumstances for all of parties involved : (

Cindy1043 purchased a puppy from me in july 2010 them 3 months later which is when this was wrote contacted me telling me that her puppy had mange blaming all of the above on me when the puppy hadn't been on my property in 3 months if you look up the life cycle of mange it is 21 days there's no way it came from my premises nor have I ever experienced mange personally or even seen it in person meaning my berners have never had it or showed any signs of it EVER .

We too purchased a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy from Vicki Holt, though in July 2009. Ours was born (or so she says) in June of 2009. When we received her she was covered in fleas and had a tick. She had to go to the animal hospital almost immediately where she stayed for 3 days because she had lost so much blood. Our 2 year old puppy is 50lbs. A 50lb BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG! She has horrible stomach problems and it took us a year to find a food that she does ok with. When we asked Vicki about the fleas she said that she had let the pups go to her Mothers house and play outside and that she didn't know they had fleas. We didn't say anything or pursue it further because she told us she was recently widowed. However, hearing that this is still happening a year late, I am concerned both for the puppies that she is breeding and for her children. Both are clearly living in an unhealthy environment.
