Well my nightmare started on 2/28/22 when I simply wanted to book a reservation for the Holiday Inn in Stonybrook, NY. I went on line with what I thought was The Holiday Inn great rate 137.00 which in comparison was inexpensive. I then supplied my credit card info which then took me to a page where the had automatically charge my credit card for 159.00 with a 19.99 booking fee. What? First of all I never confirmed anything. Normally legitimate websites will say please review and confirm…. NOPE! So I try and track down the phone number and spoke with them I explained my problem and was told this was cancelled (spoke to a guy named Marty). Ok but here’s the kicker I then spoke with Charlie the bookkeeper at the Holiday Inn who then told me there was no way that he would help me because and I’m quoting “that there is no way he can help me (because my check out receipt says $121.37 which I did not look at till I was home, my mistake) Because they make more money when we book through reservations.com so now I had to make a dispute with my Capitol One card and they are investigating.

Desired outcome: I want a credit on my credit card for the difference.
