This problem is because of our hypocritical government. We as Canadians are under obligation to pay our debts. This is fine with me, whats owed is our own responsibility. However with this being said, why should we have to pay income tax, HST, or anything else when we have no say were our money goes. What i mean is did we as Canadians all agree that our tax money be sent over to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Africa, Egypt, Haiti or any other country. Not even half of the money was sent were they said it was going to be sent. Where did it all go? I think we know the answer to that. We all know that times are tough in North America due to the economic downfall that has taken place. Shouldn't our government that we pay take care of our own people first. If we have extra money in the Canadian treasury why are we paying gas tax or anything more then what we should be. Last time I checked there wasn't a Canada wide vote on giving away billions of dollars of our money that we work for to other countries . Should this not be something we all agree on? As tax payers we employ the government. We are the employers. I know that not every person in this country agrees with decisions that have been made in Ottawa. Did we vote Stephen Harper into office for him to use our money to fly out to Vancouver on the private jet just to watch a hockey game? Did we get a choice whether the Olympics were held in Canada or not? There has been money spent inappropriately for far to long. It is time that we take a stand and have our government run the way we the people/ tax payers would like. The Canadian economic recovery plan. Spend the money on other countries and unnecessary events. Are you serious? That is a complete miss use of government. It's about time we vote in a responsible leader that we can vote out any time he/she miss uses our money for their own pleasure. My wife works and I have a part time job... when we had our baby, she was on 6 weeks Maternity leave. She had some money saved and we were able to get by and were on "Welfare" for food.
We live in a place that is "Based On Income" so our rent goes up or down depending on what we bring in.

I have to agree with TheLove...

Get a Lower cost place to live or get one "Rent Based on Income".
Get a Job...

I do not agree with putting the baby up for adoption because every baby needs their OWN mother...

Where is the FATHER in all this?

Doesn't he pay Child Support?

You are not going to get anything solved on a Internet Complaints Board - do something in your area legally to get the Father to help RAISE HIS CHILD.

In the USA, it does not matter if you are single or not -- THE FATHER has a "Responsibility" because it takes 2 to make and raise a child.
