This is a large New York stovk exchange comapny that provides PEO services (Payroll, medical benefits, worker compensation coverage). They will not, under any circumstances, provide business owner/customer with any detail regarding any of the items that are provided. No one is "supposed" to say what the insurance costs, or what the taxes are, (FICA, FUTA, SUTA) for the business. Each employee's information is listed on the paystubs and reports.

They claim that it is a liability issue for the business owner/customer. It appears to be a liability issue for them. They never have to prove that they're paying anthing. I have talked present and former customers who say that others in the industry list all of the detail on every payroll processed. Competitors say that Administaff is the only company to do this.

Competitors, like ADP, Oasis, Tri-Net, say that Administaff does this to make extra profit. Every quote they give is different. Competitors also have shown the business owners I talked to how much they charge for the administrative seervices. The companies listed above charge between $600 and $1, 200 a year for each employee. Administaff charges from $1, 800 to 3, 000 a year for each employee . BIG difference!

In my experience working with clients who have either come from Administaff services or who are looking to transition away from ASF, are usually pretty satisfied with the service they are/were receiving but their biggest concern is that they just don't know what they are paying for . I was recently given a report by a prospect that is with ASF's WebPayroll program which did break out everything including service fees, workers comp, tax expense, etc. It was very helpful in determining what their expenses where with ASF. However, when I asked another prospect in the same industry as my previous prospect for the report, they did not have it. They tried to obtain it from ASF but to their dismay, were told that the report didn't exist. The squeaky wheel get's the grease! Keep asking till you get what you want. If you don't get it, there are over 2, 000 other PEO's in the US who would be happy to get the business.

"- They are transitioning to a call center support environment. "
- completely false. They have a call center for basic support, but no changes have been made to their service teams and how they are assigned to and/or support thier clients.

- they also have over $100M in the bank with no debt. I wouldn't exactly call that 'hurting'. Whose profits haven't been down in the past two years?

- "Gross profit fell by 16.2 percent"...perhaps I should have said, "from a performance standpoint."
- They are transitioning to a call center support environment.
- As for opulence - Property and equipment: (in thousands)
Aircraft 31, 524
- Nothing in my review was bitter; it was clear and objective.
- I have never worked for ASF or personally

"From a financial standpoint, they are suffering." Truthbeetold should learn to read a financial statement. As for cutting our "direct service staff", this too is inaccurate. Me thinks someone is a bitter former employee.

As for Mr. PEO Spectrum, Administaff doesn't pay him for his 'service', so do you really think he's going to evaluate your invoices and suggest you stay with Administaff? Hey Farrell, just how many times have you sat down with a PEO customer and actually referred them to Administaff? Thought so.

Administaff (heretoafter referred to as ASF) charges the highest administrative fee of any PEO in America, yet the quality of their service offering is not any more specialized than that of TriNet, Totalsource, Oasis, Alphastaff etc... ASF is slow to adopt new technology which would cuts costs and saves customers time/money (i.e. purchasing Expensable yet no real means of fully integrating it into their HRIS, quick to promise a payroll upgrade but slow to deliver). Not only is ASF's technology showing signs of age, but their "high-touch" model is also beginning to wane, as they have cut their direct service staff and transitioned to a call center/service center. Another ubiquitous issue clients face with ASF is their lack of billing transparency. Obviously many claims have been made as to why ASF bills this way, however they are guesses at best. The certain statement, which can be made, is ASF refuses to breakout costs, period. ASF has made many expensive moves which make them appear to be a "high-class" PEO (i.e. GA convention center, Golf Tourney, pretentious HQ, jets) yet keep in mind the costs of their toys and campus is passed down to the small business owners. From a financial standpoint, they are suffering. This is not the case with every PEO, but ASF's public earnings statements reflect they are paying a similar price to what they charge their clients...high.

I make my name and company name open and available for all to see, and I stand by our company, our service, and our professional opinions.

"Hrguy" makes comments under the cloak of an anonymous online profile, therefore his comments carry no personal accountability; the marketplace is smart enough to assess no value to his words, and can easily infer he is most likely an Administaff employee.

PEO Spectrum represents over 100 PEOs; from regional providers to national players. We have nothing to hide, and we welcome all to discover our solution through direct contact with us at www.peospectrum.com

The problem with a comment from PEOSpectrumTFarrell (Tom Ferrell) is that he works closely with Administaff's competitors to drive business away from them. He "consults" to refer clients to Oasis Outsourcing and gets paid based on them switching so any opinion offered here is obviously biased.

I agree with Mr. Biz Owner,

Administaff is notorious for non-transparent billing practices and higher than market professional service fees. They do provide a strong service, but it is costly.

Our firm ( www.peospectrum.com )provides a free service for companies to shop and compare multiple PEOs simultaneously.

We help many Administaff clients break out their costs, and find viable competitors in days.

We also provide each of our clients with a $1000 coupon to be applied to any new PEO they work with.
