Brothers Heating Cooling Plumbing review: Beware

I usually don’t write to many reviews but decided that this one should be mentioned for those who are contemplating using Brothers Heating and Cooling. On May 21, 2025, I contacted Brothers to take advantage of their coupon that arrived in the Home Value Pak of coupons. I called and setup an appointment to have my air conditioner unit service. On May 28, 2025 a technician Benjamin H (not using his last name not to embarrass him). arrived to carry out the service. Benjamin was pleasant. He begins to check the unit. There was a loose hose that is connected to the outside unit. When I asked if he could repair it, he stated that I needed to have an electrician do the work. That didn’t seem right to me but I let him continue to tell me what was wrong with my unit. Benjamin H stated that I need a hard start replacement, capacitor replacement – dual, and contactor replacement for a total cost of almost $1,600. Thank God I decided to wait. Today, my regular company First Choice was there to do my fall maintenance. My guy Dave informed me that the loose hose could have been replaced with a nut, that my unit was in top shape and didn’t need any of the parts that Brothers tech Benjamin H quoted me. Honesty means a lot and character as well. For Brothers to have their tech to represent them with such dishonesty and try to up sale items that aren’t needed just to increase their profit because they are offering you a discounted coupon is shameful. I’m sure that other customers of Brothers have had good experiences with them but if you are a senior or a first-time client beware.
