Doctor Alberto Coto Clavo was the Medical Tourism dentist in Costa Rica. He broke my tooth causing 3 root canals to be preformed while in his care.
He left me with half of my teeth open margin ( the crowns are popped off my teeth ) and he screwed up my bite so badly that I now suffer from severe TMJ, constant pain, can't eat or speak properly and so on.
Doctor Coto has conveniently changed the name of his business from High Tech dental clinic to " Implant and Cosmetics Solutions "
I have no doubt that he will to continue to change his business name over and over to deceive the public.
The cost to fix my bite alone is $35, 000 ( which I don't have ) plus thousands more for additional work that I need because of Doctor Coto's incompetence. I have been seen by several American specialists who all confirm that all of my teeth will start falling out one by one because of all the open margins. I can not get false teeth put in my mouth after this happens because I suffer a seizure disorder and dentures can slip during a seizure in which case I can choke to death. Therefore, no American dentist will do it. In otherwords Doctor Coto butchered me, Maimedme and completely ripped me off ! I was threatened and almost charged with a felony and thrown in a foreign prison for complaining publicly about being butchered abroad. ( no freedom of speech in Costa Rica ). My story gets much worse. Before getting any medical and or dentistry abroad please go to u-tube and click on my channel ( kimberly4064 ) I have 3 video's on my personal nightmare. Watch them all and pass it along to anyone you know who is considering this same horrible mistake. The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've had crowns and root canals done in Costa Rica with a dentist I found on the internet. On the costs side, I'm happy with the results. The crowns look good after three years in. But there's a couple of things. My root canal appears not to have been entirely successful and the tooth now bothers me with recurring sensitivity. It's not so bad as long as it doesn't get any worse. I just avoid eating or drinking something too hot or cold. Cold days are difficult because that's when the tooth acts up the most. Let me point out that the root canal was done by another dentist, an associate in the dentist office I had contacted for the dental work. The dentist who did my crowns was the original dentist I communicated with from the States.
The other concern I want to share is the x-ray machine failed and the root-canal dentist repeatedly x-rayed one particular tooth. It was x-rayed eight times before it was decided the film wouldn't come out any different. I don't know how dangerous cumulative dental x-rays can be so many this is nothing.
