i am a father who was being sued by an ex-girlfriend for paternity and child support and i hired robert farzad to represent me and file an answer to the complaint. i paid a retainer fee of $2500 which was to cover the entire case. so weeks went by and nothing was done. farzad did not file the answer and i lost by default. now i owe $600 a month child support for a boy i don't even know and will never know if he is mine.
i pretty much got ripped. I paid farzad in cash and lost the receipt. now he denies i was ever his client. he is not returning my phone calls and will not talk to me. I will take him to small claims court for the 2500 but how do i stop the child support? I am now in arrears over $6000. I may lose my contractors license and who knows even my drivers license. i definately would not recomend to do business with farzad at all and do not consider him to be a very honest person.
He has lied to me and stolen my money and left me high and dry. i would have been better off doing it myself than using this bufoon. Let me know if others have had similar experience and maybe the state agencies should punish him.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

My experience was much different.
The entire Firm was nothing but extremely helpful during my time of need. Very dependable. Did I pay a ton of money? Of course I did. I paid for the best. Worth every penny. Did I "win" my case? In the end the opposing side and I felt we both lost.
I would absolutely hire them again if need be in the future.
I fully agree that robert farzad is an attorney i would not hire for any family law case. I got totally ripped off and ended up losing my case due to his incompetency.. Farzad mostly slept through all the days in trial and spend MY time talking to other of his clients in the hallway of the courthouse in orange county near his office. I saw the billings a he billed be for a full day when all he did was yap on the phone with his wife about their child.
I refused to pay the 10 grand he demanded and will NEVER pay him a red cent.
there are alot better attorneys and many honest ones you can find for half the price.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Robert Farzad back in 2010 and I found him to be a difficult person to have handle my case involving modification of child support and to increase the visitation with my three children. I ended up paying over $25000 for what was a continuing barrage of billing statements that were unintelligible. There were entries for "open case file" one hour, "review of file" two hours and so on.
I wouldn't have cared so much, except that he lost my case entirely by not filing the proper forms with the family law courts in orange ca. My case ended up being dismissed several times and pages were missing on the forms. Farzad actually charged me for the time it took him to fix his own mistakes!
Well, I ended up hiring someone else, and didn't pay his last billing statement. Now he filed for fee arbitration with the local bar assoc. but I feel confident he owes me a refund.
I would NOT recomend Robert Farzad or use him again.
This is Robert Farzad. This is a false complaint. I have never been contacted by this person, called by this person or represented anyone by this name or with this set of facts. I have a suspicion of who this person may be and it is a father on the other side of a case, I represented the wife and my client received a large child support award against him and had her rights vindicated. Now, the upset father is going around the internet and making false claims like this pretending to be a client. I am investigating this. In the meantime, to anyone who is reading this, take heed that you are reading a false report and complaint. I will also be in touch with this website to have this complaint removed.
Hmmm are you sure? I concur with the message above from the more than dissatisfied customer, as I’ve had a similar experience with your firm. I’m not scared of your threats. Bring it on my friend! Raise and bred in Brooklyn where we don’t hide our tails between our legs at the first sign of trouble. Seems like your firm has a trend of preying on the meek and the needy. And while I’m both at the present time I’m also not to be threatened by your big bad Wily firm as I have been known to save a move or two myself. Threaten me again over phone or email and let’s have our day in court. Where all your predator tactics will come to light and watch your little empire built on deceit fall apart.
