I paid over $3, 000 for a platinum coverage contract with this company and at the time of my first claim - several items were found by the automobile dealer to be wrong with the car and were denied. I canceled my policy immediately and then found out i was going to be charged a 15.47% fee to do so plus an additional $30.00 just months after i purchased it from my credit union. I am absolutely disgusted.

I just purchased a new vehicle on July 20, 2023, AMG GLC 43. The salesperson I had in the beginning was very nice. But then I was switch to another salesperson who presented the final deal to me, and he was very pushy. I complaint about the interest rate and he said If you don't get this vehicle today, it will be a while before they get any more vehicles. As you said, I look over the paperwork they shove in your face and say sign here and here. I got a $1,399.00 gap policy, $4,699.00 vehicle service contract and $749.00 luxcare xt exterior protection, that was added to my loan. I am going to cancel all three (3). These dealerships have a relation with these companies that provide these warranty services. I think the consumers' needs to be given ample time to read contract before signing. I am going to address my issue with the FCC.

Automotive warranty services of florida and automotive warranty services in chicago, il

I just bought my car in september 2016, kia forte. I told the sales personi needed my payments under $400.00. Ended up with them being $466.00. Yesterday i was looking over the paper work they shove in your face and say sign here here and here. Not only did i pay $800.00 for a gap policy. , they also put on my loan (That i wasn't told about) a vehicle service contract and charged me $1, 836.00 for it. I'm going to try to get both canceled but after reading the above complaint i'll look forward to getting the run around.

I agree! I also purchased a platinum warranty before the factory warranty expired! My issue was that on page four paragraph blah blah, the engines throttle body was not covered! My car is 2013 ford flex, the throttle body is not just a cast part, it had an electronic sensor built in that will not allow the car to be driven if it fails! It cost me $290 to get my car operational again! The electronic piece can not be replaced by itself, the whole throttle body must be changed! It's a catch 22 for car owners! The dealer said he has never seen a platinum plan that would deny replacement! Platinum plans generally cover anything operational on the car except things like brake pads, , batteries, wiper blades etc! Automotive warranty services of florida falls in the scam / fraud business! Yes it does say throttle body in the un-covered parts clause but, electronic parts should be covered, which happens to be attached to my cars throttle body and can not be replaced individually! I am also cancelling my policy and perhaps my bank account with suncoast federal credit union!
