I recently attended this so-called school and what I experienced was utterly ridiculous and very unprofessional. First of all
I completed all of my financial aid when I first enrolled in this school and after the first term (5 weeks) I was told that I had to go and redo my financial aid again (what !). I also found out that unlike other schools that give you a choice of what to do with the funds left over from the grants and loans they claim that they automatically send the funds back to the government
(bull****) but, we still have to pay all of this money back. And as far as the teachers (some) they are so unprofessional that it is ridiculous, have overheard some of the conversations that the so called teachers involve themselves in and I find it to be so
juvenile. The teachers are discussing the students business with other students and teachers and this is something that I thought we left behind in high school. They are suppose to be teaching the students about career choices and they are acting
like children themselves. Before you enroll in this school please check them out carefully !

Let me add the ATI school was investigated and shut down. It was re-opened only for the remaining students to graduate. They are no longer in Waco, Texas and I'm not sure if there is a school in Texas. The folks I know did not get placed on a job.

Well everyone you are so right. I was looking for coding and billing classes and I was told by the financial counselor "oh yes that is part of this course". I don't want to draw blood or administer shots. I thought something was up about this place. Waco, Texas is an old poor city. There is old money here the pay scale here sucks. I was one of the oldest students there. I was 58 then. Ha, Ha. I missed enough to be kicked out. Good deal. I wanted out of this joke of a school. I was becoming ill. That is the reason for missing. I now owe Financial aid 9, 000.00 plus interest. I now receive SSD and there is no way I can pay back this loan. So I noticed the comment above and I am definitely wanting to tell my story to a law firm. Throw my name in the hat. Boy was I stupid for thinking I could get a decent education in the medical field packaged all in one location. Older but not so much wiser?

My husband graduated Aug of 2011 and STILL NO CERTIFICATE!. He attended N. Richlandhills ATI center and never had employment assistance or never received any type of documentation validating his graduation. Good luck trying any of the numbers they have, either no answer or, my fav, "please hold while I transfer you, click" hung up on! This school is ###. My husband quit his job and moved to texas leaving two small children and myself in Oklahoma to better our future. 8 months of HELL and for what? NOTHING!

Can you do a grammar and spell check please! I hope you don't have to document for your present employer! Glad your experience was great! Mine was absolutely horrible and I take my education and career choices very seriously!

I disagreed to all those complaints... You guys just a cry baby looking for publicly attention... ATI is NOT a bad school ... My teachers in ATI are professional and they taught me well. I graduate last Jan. 2011 and they help me to find a job right away after 3 weeks of looking for a job for me they found a couple and let me choice which one I want first so they can set up an interview. They set up the interviewed and I went with there knowledge of my medical and professionalism they taught me ... I think is also how you present yourself to the employers and maybe you all that complaint about ATI are the Joke because you guys don't take it serious like you supposed to. You just people need get a life all you just complaint for everything and gives bad reputation to other good student that actually use ATI as a stepping stone. And to all former ATI employees is just you are not professional and it make you look worse that why there student like them coz you are not taking it serious your job not and NOT thankful to having a great job but just to complaint. That's why ATI made a decision to let you guys go and Now is a history just MOVED ON!

Im not saying that ATI is crooked, but after reading all of these comments Im leaning to the side that they may be. I recently graduated from campus 50 in Dallas and I have not had any luck as of yet. Im still looking for my exciting career in the medical field, phlebotomy and MA certifications in tow, but no job offers or interviews for that matter. Its a shame that any business can operate in such shady fashion and get away with it.
I think that i was given good general information from my instructors, however 11months to absorb all that information and retain it I thought was a little rushed. The instructors were a bit catty, but who in the working force is'nt? Im not a big fan of where I work, but it pays the bills. I tried to befriend most of instructors and pick their brains a bit more so I could try to understand their side of the business, what I found were very passionate teachers yet very discruntal employees. They were massively understaffed or the classes were too big for the one instructor and they pretty much lived on that property.
In my time there I noticed that it wasnt really the professional institute I had hoped for. The students or "clintel" did not hold themselves in a professional manner, and rarely was anybody ever held accountable. Dress code violations, tardiness, outbursts in the classes, foul language in the halls, this was high school not a professional institute.
If you plan to attend any "professional" institute or for profit school, do a few things first. Research the facility, most of them will have a govrning body appointed by the state. Verify their graduate to employment numbers, most will fudge nunbers for government money though. Speak with the students, get their feedback. Make sure that this is the facility for you. Use common sense, if it sounds to good to be true; it probably is. Dont let the admissions rep pressure you into signing anything. And finally, before you sign it, read it twice ask questions and read it again, make that rep really earn his paycheck!

Today myself along with several students filed a complaint with the New Mexico attorney generals office over misleading advertising and misusing state funding. This school is one of the worst.

I agree with all the posts...I was a former ATI employee...working in the Financial Aid Dept. (Florida location) There wasn't any formal training...just word of mouth until corporate stepped in. Corporate really has no idea how thier companies outside of texas are being run. The Director of the facility was only interested in seating as many students as possible. The pace was awful...in by 8am out by 10pm everyday. 30minutes on 1 student...getting them processed and papers signed. ...if they were non-englished speaking students...it took longer and that was not acceptable with the director. Because I worked previously in a banking setting I noticed that several things were handled unprofessionally. Financial documents were not shredded..they were just put in the back dumpster...I was told it cost too much for the service... so I ripped mine up in small pieces...When a FASFA needed a students signature..it was signed by one of the Financial Aid employees who wanted to get her numbers up (using the same color ink pen)...isn't this illegal? Once I voiced my concerns and told them that I would not be signing the students name so that the FASFA's could be inputted faster and monies could be released ...I was harrassed and then fired...told that I was not doing my job. However..1 week after I left they had a review board come in and review the files...alot was missing ...and questions were asked...ofcourse the Directer of the school stated that he had gotten rid of all the people who would have been responsible for problems with the files. (Director of Financial Aid and 3 Financial Aid Associates) The Admissions Dept. got their bonuses by how many student they can seat in each enrollment period. They had to sit in class for a certain amount of days...and they got awards for how many enrollments they got...so did the Director. The facility that I worked at had alot of people from all walks of life. They do call you to see if your coming or not to class because they need to know if they have to drop you...the information goes to the Admission office as well as Financial Aid. Iwas told that it is very hard to get jobs for the ex-convicts who attended the school and graduated...there are some employers who will take them...but the majority of employeres will not. The teachers do talk about each other and they talk about the students...I have heard about other schools here is South Florida and the situation is the same.

My son was enrolled at ATI in Texas and had similar problems. His teacher was fired after the first month or so and he never got another one. They just handed out grades like they were candy and took his money. The school is full of drugs and ex convicts and there is absolutely no education going on. DO NOT attend this school in any state!

The former instructor who posted on Oct 11th hit the nail on the head. ATI is bad news! The only reason I went to work for ATI is because I had lost my job and I needed a paycheck asap. I worked in the Financial Aid Dept and my manager was an acquaintance who helped me get the job.

The place really does drive you like a slave. We were not permitted to take any breaks during our shift and ATI offered no formal training to its employees.

On average, one person in the Admissions Dept was fired weekly. If you didn't enroll so many new students per month, you were history!

After 10 weeks of working for ATI, they showed me the door - and provided no reason nor explanation.

All I can really say to those reading this is simply this:

If you're looking to find employment, DO NOT come to ATI. You will be treated like a doormat.

And, if you're looking to enroll, DON'T! You will end up in so much student loan debt, it's crazy!
ATI won't advertise this FACT, but they are a for-profit school. So that means you will pay 2-3 times as much for your schooling.

You're better off enrolling at a local community college or a 4-year university!

Don't waste your time with ATI. They are CROOKS!

I totally agree! I have had the instructors talk about me to other students, talk about other students to me! There is no way that school should be so expensive & it is the only school where students do not get to have their left over financial aid dispersed to them. The school keeps everything & it is all so unprofessional. The instructors talk badly about each other to their students. Each one will tell you not to listen to what the other instructor just taught you. Its crazy!

I totally agree with EVERYTHING in this review. the school is very unprofessional, i got a desicion to get my left over "2, 500" but when i went to pick it up i was told it was denied, ok fine. Until i got an itemized bill in the mail showing it was dispersed and a due date that i had to star paying it back! The teachers chime in with other juvenile students and talk bad about the other students, some of the teachers make the situation even worse! if u miss a class they will call your phone and every other contact number you give them! I am 23 years old, my mother doesnt need to know when i miss class anymore! I graduated 6 months ago and have YET to receive my certificate of completion or be set up to take state exams. This school is a joke and a waste of my 16, 000+ dollars. i got my Medical Assisting done there, and later found out i could go to another school and become and LPN for 10, 000 dollars less! DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL, rip-off and a joke

She is telling the truth the teacher do not teach at all there to business stacking there nose in ever body business. I finished school in March and not one person will hire any body from this school. They hospital and clinic tell to go to another school like everest college. But you will have to pay another $15, 000 dollars and what even worst about it the Texas work force is sending people to them.
DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL If you are there get out change school fast. They say they will help you find a job they want when you finish they take you in a office and ask you to sign to a paper that say they will not help you find a job. They should be closed and all money paid back to the students that they laid to.
