Signing up with AT&T has got to be the worst decision of my life. Here is the scam: the sales rep will guarantee a certain number of "clicks." They definitely provide you a lot of clicks to you website. The problem is that the keywords they use are so general that are people who have no interest in your services or product clicking on to your site. For example, if you are a dentist in NYC and treat cavities, ATT will get web browers who are from CA or people who are looking to buy a dental practice. So yeah, you will get the clicks, but you won't get any calls. I have been with them for four months and have not received a single call. And they have done nothing to fix the problem. Oh, and good luck trying to get out of your 12 month contract. In hindsight, it's quite obvious why they try to hook you for 12 months. There are many companies out there that have 3-6 month contracts or just month to month.
The Yellow Pages have just told me my account with them was for 5 years! My conversation with an on line rep said nothing about 5 years. They said it was sent to me in the mail and they said to read it. So I must pay for at least the rest of 2011. But I have retired. I am tired of the so call legal scams. No one should have to pay for something that they did not authorize.
