I am the custodial parent and receive a regular monthly deposit for Child support through WA DSHS. My ex husband's company just recently started to use ADP in January 2013. In January, DSHS did not receive the $ until Jan 29. In February, DSHS received the $ on the 8th. It is now March and I have not received anything. The dollars were garnished from his check on the 1st. I have now found out that ADP has to put a stop payment on the first check because apparently it got lost in the mail. So a huge payroll company mails checks for Child support? Really? I am so fed up with this company that I will also be calling the Better Business Bureau. Granted I am lucky enough, that I don't have to depend on this money, but what about all of the other single parents that are still waiting for their child support at the end of the month? 30 days late? come on..
I called ADP but they would not talk to me ( which I knew but tried anyway).
Its really scary when one of their phone options is for the custodial parent?
Where are they mailing these checks from India?
Very PISSED, still waiting, and waiting...

It still helps reporting to BBB.. although it may not fix the problem it makes the company aware and people aware of what the issues are going with that particular company. So its more informative.

I am from Pennsylvania and rely strictly on child support at the moment. I was on welfare where i received cash assistance $100 pass through it worked out about even but my case worker (which changes everytime i visit the department of welfare encouraged me to withdraw cash assist and go the other route. I am now receiving it through the PA SCDU. I have already missed one payment and was just about to be late on two more. My ex whose payroll wage garnishment is handled through ADP has been and always been cooperative with me in these situations. He provided me with the information I needed to contact ADP cause even though they have an option for custodial parents you still need the employee's (baby father) social security number before they give you any information (which is insane considering most people may not have that information or able to get it). After contacting them numerous times speaking with a barely english speaking individual they insisted payment was electronically transferred to PA SCDU and even gave me a tracking number for one of the payments transferred. They were more helpful than the state. When I contacted the PA SCDU they were quick to get off the phone with me almost like I bothered them at home during dinner. They insisted they did not receive any payments and advised that I contact DRS which is impossible to get in touch with so now I have to take time to go down to the court house to see what is going on hoping they dont go after my sons father cause it is not his fault. I did just receive an email from PA SCDU confirming one of the two payments behind but I am still one payment missing. This will now be the second time the state has my child support and is saying they dont have it. Since I have a tracking number I am hoping the court can figure this out... how hard can an EFT be. My sons birthday is this week and Christmas is next month. It is a very critical time for payments to be made ontime and they are playing around or slacking in this area. Someone is to blame at this point and my frustration is at maximum. Even if this was not my only source of income its not fair that someone has our childrens money and is playing games with it, I am not going out living it up on child support...this helps me support him and him only. Its not fair. Something needs to be done whether its an issue with ADP or the State of PA. This is bullsh it.

I don't know why people think that the BBB can do anything other then take a report and give a A-F rating? They cannot do anything legally to help ANYONE. They are just a reporting bureau and that's it.
