Hello Board of Directors,
This is to let you know that I have been a member for years and was very satisfied until this year. I sent a check to pay for my increased membership $65 on 8/15/23, check # 10403. Expiration was 8/31/23.
The issue is that I sent it to P.O. Box 91245, Bellevue, WA [protected].
Apparently, AAA charged my American Express credit card, which erroneously paid for the membership, I said erroneously because the credit card was cancelled on May 2023. So I called American Express to clarify the error.
Meanwhile, when I called AAA customer service to ask if they have received my check before my membership expires. I received a very poor customer service like they do not care. The attendant told me that they have tossed the check. First he asked me where have you send the check, I replied to P.O. Box 91245 Bellevue WA 98009. I asked them why haven't you call me to let me know that you have received my check and you also tried to get money from a cancelled credit card. I asked him to talk to his supervisor, who was very defensive instead of finding a solution, he said the check is lost.
Why is this happening in the Bellevue office, that you are not taking checks as a method of payment/ is it only credit cards? I still write checks, Is there a policy that has changed and you did not inform your customers that people cannot join AAA without a credit card? There was no information on my email about changes on Method of Payments. And now my personal check is lost with a signature and my address on it. No wonder why there is an increase on of crimes like theft identlity, etc. I am so dissapointed at AAA for taking money and trying to force everyone to pay with a plastic card. So so dissapointed that AAA toss my check in the trash. Well I will treat you the same, trash, with no respect toward customers, etc. You guys are evil.
