Direct TV was contacted on 10/2/14 to discontinue service by the end of the month. We were told boxes would be sent to our Montross, VA address. Moving day came and went. We received an automated call stating the boxes were on their way and when contacted they said there is no record of terminating service. To make a long story short. We are still waiting for a box to return the big receiver.

Direct TV makes the mistake and we get the bill for the equipment. My husband has been on numerous lengthy telephone calls trying to resolve this issue.

So I am a working mom of 4 and grandma of 1 and I provide for my family week by week, pay check by pay check, and Direct tv took $210.00 off my debit card with OUT my say no consent what so ever and I find out when I get a call from my daughters college saying my card had been declined for her rent . This is some how got to be legally wrong some how of them to do this, Ive read the complaints on this page and has anybody got their money back ??? I have been a loyal customer despite all the disappointing service we have received. I am writing to inform you of the incompetent employees working for your company. When my husband and I first enrolled 8 March 2013, we were to be expected to pay an amount of $67.85 for the first 12 months under a promotional rate. When we received out first bill, it was $97. Not happy about the price but was informed that the sales clerk Michael Kramer, should not have promised us the locked in rate, that it was based on credit.

Been long term customer with direct tv over 5 years . For 3 years I was buddled with adding Verizon DSL service for a little discount. Of course I paid each month as we all know how quick they are to suspend service. After dropping the Verizon DSL portion, I contacted direct tv to inform them to direct bill me as Verizon was doing the billing while packaged. Well first 2 months with direct billing from direct tv with current charges all paid in full "as always" by month 3 all the scams arrouse. Out of nowhere my direct tv bill adds some past due charges of 589.00 due or account suspended....

After ordering the movie "Million Dollar Arm" we watch an 1.5 hours of the 2hr movie when the screen went blank. I called customer service to determine what happened and they told me I never ordered the movie. We have had Direct TV service for one year. It included local channels, which, when we signed up for Direct TV, would be the Toledo, Ohio, channels. We needed these local channels because of it being the area in which my husband drives for work. We were assured we would have those local channels. I called an ordered a package deal with Internet for 66 dollars a month. I waited for the equipment for almost 2 weeks. The Installers came to the house Sunday to install the equipment. I Found out that we are not getting the Internet. I called customer service and was told I did not order Internet. I told him the confirmation number and he told me had the wrong number. Over 5yrs ago i lost my job and was going through a divorce. The house had to be sold and i was working on a job that was paying any benefits. I contacted direct tv to explaine to them the problem. In August 2013 I had Direct TV and AT&T both connected. Direct TV for television and AT&T for internet and home phone. I had a one year contract with Direct TV. abc.com allows you to watch shows 7 days after airing and if you have an account with a tv provider you can log in and watch the newest shows the next day. Direct TV, the only provider not available to be able to sign in and watch through the network, only allows shows after 14 days and you must log in to the direct tv website. This is the worst company to sign a contract with. Can't wait until my contract is up....

I had Direct TV since 2001. They charged me a
deposit of $250 back then. Yesterday I called to cancel Direct TV. They
said I'd be charged a cancellation fee, but I only had a 2 year contract
in 2001. Also, I said I wanted my $250 Deposit back.
They said no, it went towards equipment. They said I have to send in my
equipment, I said not until I get my $250 back. They said they would
withdrawal from my bank then. I said I don't allow you to do that, but

Apparently someone used part of my personal information to open an account with Direct TV. I have never had an account with Direct TV and I have lived at the same address for over 27 years.


These two collection agencies are on my credit report because someone fraudulently
opened an account without my permission.

I was overcharged for equipment. I had a receiver in a second bedroom which I had not used in months.
