Wellcare review: Complaint

I am the daughter of Wiilliam J Cummings with power of attorney. My father William is 97 years old, blind and with limited hearing.

Mr Cummings received a bill from Wellcare (PO box 31411 Tampa Florida [protected]) for $71.80 for his Wellcare classic (PDP) (S4802080000) plan premium. The letter states that if they do not receive his payment, they will ask Medicare to disenroll him

My father never applied to be a member of Wellcare classic for prescription drugs as he is in SouthWestern VA living facility and uses the VA for perscriptions

I called customer service [protected]) to ask how he became enrolled in their program but was told that they will only speak to him even though I have power of attorney

They did verify that he had an account # [protected]. i am certain that neither my father nor myself opened this account with them so i am interesated in how this account was created.

I am concerned what effect their notification to medicare of his " disenrollment due to lack of premium payment" will have on his medicare and VA RX plans
