I bought 200 machines from these less than honest business people. I was told I was buying an existing route. Little did I know after the placement couple came and place the machines, the same people ran the same ad in the Dallas paper and sold the same route onece again. Now my route has been hit three times. These guys are low lifes. Now who is Iris? She wants to sell me some new rubber doors to replace the piece of crap that breaks each time someone opens it to receive the candy. She may be honest, however, she would be the first in Vendstar that possessed this quality. Iris also told me Vendstar went under. I this true? Help?Michael Alexander [protected]

i want to buy 100 Vend3. I do not know now. I believe 100 machines can make a minimun of 8 quaters a day = $ 2 dollars a day per machine x 100 machines = 200 dollars x 26 days (instead of 30 days in a month, to play safe) = $5200 dollars a month...minus 20% for candy an others etc...[protected]=$4160, Mr Row 8o8 (106 days ago comment) say that he is making $1000 with 100 machine. Is mr Row 8o8 making $40 a day x 26days= $1000 dollars? that means that the average machine is making between 1(one) to 2(two) quarters a day...it is that posible...less that 50 cents a day per machine...Please call me...this is really bad andddddddddddddd y need to know. It is very hard to believe...please, call me

I called Nationwide Locating and somebody named Wally referred me to "Allan Turner." I was stunned when the same arrogant / wordy Jim answered - My name is Alan Turner - yeah... right. That ridiculous voice can't be missed - It's Jimbo. Oh yes. Don't let anyone at Vend3 tell you otherwise - those [censor]. :(

Jim Ellis is now using the name Allan Turner and the name of his location company is Nationwide Location. He is again being referred by Vendstar under his new alias.

In May 2010 I began to do business with Vendstar. The initial conversation I had with Steve from Vendstar we talked about how many machines I should buy. I was told that if I bought 150 machines, I would make 150, 000 per year. I did not believe I would make that much, but I figured it would be okay if I made half of that. He insisted that I would make the 150, 000. After buying the 150 machines I had a followup conversation with the president of the company and he explained that 150, 000 was a high amount. He did feel confident that I could make 75, 000-90, 000 per year. They referred me to their locating company names Secure Placement. They insured me that Secure Placement was the best around. Next, I contacted Todd from Secure Placement. I was told they were giving me the best guy they had, named "Eddie". It did not take long for me to realize that Eddie from Secure Placement and Vendstar were not on the same page. Eddie started placing machines, but first asked for a extra $750 for expenses that was not part of the deal. He said it was essential for him to do the best job that he could. It took about three weeks for him to place 140 machines. First day of collecting money and servicing the machines I got back 10 of them. These companies said they expressed to Eddie that they did not need or want them. Eddie would just tell them to come on and help him out. The next day I experienced the same issues with some companies. I called Eddie and he said he would never say those things to companies or place a machine if they did not want it there. When it was said and done I ended up with fifty machines back. In dealing with my different companies, they have told me that Eddie said other things to them also. He asked companies to place the machine for a month so he could get paid. Numerous customers explained to Eddie that they did not have much traffic so that he might want to find somewhere else to place the machine. Eddie would tell them that he did not care about that, but just needed them placed. After hearing these complaints from my customers I immediately tried to get in contact with Vendstar and Secure Placement. Neither have returned my calls going on a month now. After my first collection of money I made $1200.00. The next time I collected money I collected $1000.00 Both times were not even close to the amount they told me I would be making. So now I have fifty machines in my garage and I making about $1000.00 per month, again not even close to what they told me I would make.

I purchased 25 machines from Vendstar, 880 Grand Blvd., Deer Park LI., NY [protected]-vend in Nov. 2009.
I also purchased a site finding service through Global. The contract calls for Global finding five new sites every three months providing I send a certified letter every month that I serviced the machines. My contract with Vendstar calls for a lifetime warranty for parts. At first both Global and Vendstar lived up to the agreements. Everything changed in July. Both Global and Vendstar did not return messages left on their voice mails even though Global sent back the certified mail slip signed. I had someone go to the Vendstar address on Grand Blvd and I was told that it was an empty lot. Now the 800 number has been disconnected. These are the facts

Secure Placement located my machines but I agree with Rebecca, you have better quality locations doing it yourself. No matter what locating company you use (I've used 3 of them) it's the same thing: locator has to get in and out of town as fast as possilbe to make money - you don't. I have 70 machines and 20 of them I relocatd and made twice as much money.

Also, if you have to use a locating company just don't use Advance Placement - they where so rude to me and never finished the job.

I used Secure Placement and was eventually happy. The took longer then they implied to get over to my area but the locators did a pretty good job other then some dud locations here and there. I know from experience that Secure Placement isn't perfect but fraudulent? Not with my experience. Still, I found that when I relocated a few of my own machines they did better then many of the Secure Placement locations. I asked Todd why this is so and he told me that the vending route customer makes a better locator then any locator sent from out of town. I wish he had told me this before I paid for the locating!

Some tips for anybody trying to evaluate a complaint regarding a company:

- Keep in mind that the BBB and Attorney General verify each and every complaint and toss out fake ones - check them out
- If details aren't posted that's a red flag
- Do not pay attention to rebuttals as most legit companies won't bother to address complaints that are phone and, perhaps, posted by a competitor.

To sum it up the Attorney General of the state a company is in and the BBB are accurate sources that verify everything.

Vendinglocatorbuster? In Northport, AL? Did you actually buy machines from Vendstar and do you have the balls to display your real name? This sounds pretty fake if you ask me. I have setup a "watchdog" group that collects true, accurate information about vending business opportunities and vending locating. All information must be verifiable and "real." If you really are a Vendstar customer and had trouble with Secure Placement state your real name and a way to contact you and my group will contact you to get more details. Also please list dates and the number of machines that where placed and not placed and why. Once you you give some verifiable details we will consider you legit. We deal with a lot of complaints regarding many companies and only about 30% are even real and accurate. This is a disturbing number but 30% are, indeed, legit complaints and we, as a group, will be pursuing many companies.

Vendstar's director of customer relations or Larry Kaplan is
not going to do anything but call Jim Ellis and tell him to get you off his back. They are the one to send you to Jim in the first place.
Vendstar has being working together with Jim for years and using his bogus warranties and buy backs and pre approved locations to help them sell machines. They are not going to help they are the one that screwed you from the start. Your best chance is to ban together and compare stories and go to the FTC, Attorney General or whoever will listen. Start a site and all compare notes together and start a class action lawsuit. This has been going on for years with 100 if not 1000 people caught up in Jim Ellis and Joe Spinelli's scam. Everybody complain to all the sites and build up a email list of each other. Here is a pic of Jim and his myspace page.http://www.myspace.com/350531255
Good Luck!

I have been scammed by Todd Parker and Joe Spinnelli. We have been in a constant fight for the last couple of months on a scam Todd and Joe are running. We are trying to get Vendstar director of customer relations to do something but he has only put some pressure on Todd to place our bad machines. I have posted on other sites. One site blocks complaints against Vendstar because they are part of some program. We are looking for more people that have been scammed to get together to form some sort of suit. Not sure how far it will go so anty help would be appreciated.
