I sent them $399 to sell my timeshare. Tried calling them on many occasions. First I got answering services telling me they'd return my calls. Now their phones have been disconnected. Dumb me, I felt it was a scam from the start, but was sent a contract with a money back guarentee. How foolish am I?

I had signed a contract for this company to market my timeshare for 6 months. At the end of the 6 months, (Aug 17, 2009), I had sent them an email about getting my money refunded. Got a return message to "read your contract", which I did. The next day I sent a request via certified mail per contract. A few weeks later I had called them and was told that the people I need to talk to was in a meeting and they would call me back. Never got a call back. I have called a couple times and left a message, which is supposed to be returned within 48 hours, per their message. I tried calling from a different phone, no luck, tried blocking my number, they don't accept blocked numbers. It has been 7 months that I have tried to get this done and never get a response.

This company does not respond to the BBB requests nor the GA State Attorney General.

Desired Settlement: Refund
Product_Or_Service: Timeshare Marketing
Purchase_Price: 400.00

I was dupped into going with this bogus company to sell my time share. I gave them $499 and told I would receive all of my money back if my timeshare was not sold within one year. Tom Newkirk was the salesman. He is a very slick talker. Within the first year, I had to call him bacause he never called me to give me an update on my timeshare. He always told me that he has several people interested, but could not close. Each time he said he was close to closing and would keep me posted, but he never did. Then, in June, which was the end of my year contract, I could not get in touch with him. He number, [protected]), was no longer in service, the company number, [protected] and [protected]), were no longer in service. Sarah Lewis was also another rep there, but I no longer could get in touch with her. I sent a certified letter to them, as per the instructions on requesting my money back, but the certified letter was refused. My next goal, I guess, is to contact the Georgia Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs and also the Florida Dept. of Timeshares. If anyone out there would like to contact me and get together on this problem, email me at: canucci@yahoo.com.

Vacation Sales and Marketing failed to refund our money, according to the 180 day refund policy, if they did not sell our Time-Share. We appealed to the Governors Office of Consumer Affairs for the state of Georgia. VSM has moved out of Ga. and they gave me an address in Florida. We sent a certified letter to the address in FL but it was refused. We are going to contact the consumer office of Florida. We are not giving up until we get our money or Vacation Sales and Marketing has been run out of business. Brubakers in Virginia
