Yesterday, 1/10, my mother and I went to the Loft store in Michigan City, IN at the outlet mall. While there, we were browsing the clearance section and when walking to the dressing room, we noticed another section. We were about to go take a look when an employee named Melissa said "Don't look there, it's XS". I was a bit confused by her tone, but could see if I was someone with body image issues or an eating disorder, how triggering that would be. We tried things on, and while I purchased items, my mother refused as she was quite upset with the woman. She has been working at the store for a while, and often displays unprofessional behavior from not being very helpful or gossiping in front of customers. I go into the store about once a month, and I do not look forward to her being in the store.
It would be great if some action could be taken, as I can't imagine the feeling of someone boy-shaming you and you are looking for an outfit for an important event or even just routine shopping. That behavior is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: Action taken to discipline the employee
