Hello, my name is Mailí Melchor. I am a nurse here in Chicago, IL. I am Latina. I was shopping with one of my friends at your store about an hour ago. (1/9/21). I asked for a seat for my friend to try on a pair of boots and was rudely denied a seat. Then when I asked to speak to another store associate, a blonde male employee rushed me, and I feared for my safety. I thought about calling the police because I thought he was going to hit me but my friend grabbed me and we left. We were insulted and pushed out of your store. As a healthcare provider I took an oath to save and heal and protect. I have never in all my life been treated like that. I will never shop in any of your stores again and I will make sure that many people find out about this. I am beyond hurt, embarrassed and I was afraid. The capacity of people to judge and mistreat others based on the color of their skin needs to stop.
