I purchased an expensive piece of art because I was told it was an original, one of a kind painting. When the art and appraisal arrived yesterday, it stated it was a one of 100 seriagraph. I am told that I will have to pay the more than $300 to ship the art back to the company. the customer representative tried to tell me it is an original, even though, she will loiok into the matter. Based on her response, I do not have faith in this company!
Park West Gallery - fraudulent purchase of a thomas kinkade painting from a princess cruise ship
I was on the Princess Ruby cruise to Alaska from Seattle leaving August 17 returning August 24, 2019. We went to an auction and bid on a Thomas Kinkade Holiday Gathering Christmas 25 1/2'" x 34". The piece that we thought we were bidding on turned out to be another piece. The one we were bidding on was number a lot lower than the one that we received. When we got the painting it was not at all what we had bid on. There were no embellishments on the canvas. The lights in the painting were not shiny like what we bid on. This is so disappointing. We called and they said return it so we did. It was received in your Florida office on 9/16/2019. It cost me another $48.00 to send it back to you of which you charged me $199.00 for shipping and handling to begin with. I feel there is a "bait and switch" act going on and I plan on notifying Princess Cruise lines so that they are aware of the situation. When I called to make sure they got the shipment they said that they needed the tracking number which FedEx had sent me the proof of delivery. The person I spoke with said it would take up to 60 days to received a refund which is ridiculous when you wanted my money right away. I want to be reimbursed the full amount plus all my shipping and handling expenses and the $35 appraisal fee I was charged. I would also like to have my credit card reimbursed immediately.
