I had contacted them about a male Doberman puppy in August 2020. She told me to fill out an application, which I did. On July 31, 2021, Mrs. Rochester posted on Facebook that a litter was due in September. I messaged her to see if she had my application. She responded, “Did you send a check? I said no you didn’t tell me to! She told me to fill out application again and send $500 deposit. Which I did.
Fast forward…puppies are born, but only one male puppy. After a couple of weeks, I contacted her and asked if I was getting the puppy. She keep putting me off. Finally, she told me that there were 4 people who wanted a male pppy and I was last to submit a deposit and she wants to be fair. Well obviously, that meant I wasn’t getting the puppy. I finally asked me for my deposit back since I wasn’t getting the puppy and I couldn’t handle the stress. I asked her if she was going to be a responsible person and breeder and return my deposit? She told me I was rude. In another conversation, she called me a liar! I have all the messages that show I was never rude and was very careful to be polite.
Mrs. Rochester also in the beginning I asked what food she recommended for her puppies. She feeds raw and I am unable to do that. The food she recommended was Grain Free which is not good for Dobermans.
Mrs. Rochester is NOT a good person. She is a cheat and a fraud. In correspondence she said she would have sent my deposit back but had been dealing with COVID. I waited and never received a check. I went to a lawyer in Florida, my home state who did send her a letter, but NOTHING!
Desired outcome: Would have liked my deposit back.
