On 9/25/2022 I was purchasing A 2017 Cadillac XTS from THE TAVERNA COLLECTION INC

3801 S State Rd. West Park, Fl. 33023

I learned of them off Car Gurus online purchase!

I went through the entire process of getting financing through Westlake Financing and the Salesperson Chris Yu explained to me I was approved. After I completed All the necessary paperwork, sending my down payment of $2500 and Adding the Vehicle to my insurance for proof of insurance for Westlake financing…

On 09/28/2022 Chris Yu later phoned me that Westlake financing needed more verification of my income and I was not approved! And in order for me to get a refund I had to go through his Manager Nick Boustead because he handles refund. After several attempts to reach Nick by phone and email he finally called and emailed me saying I cannot get a refund Or a Vehicle because I was told I used a fraudulent check stub!

Desired outcome: My $2500 refund

My whole dealings with Taverna Collection have been a nightmare. First, car was delivered in a month with several defects. My wife said, “they screwed you.“ I responded, let them prove that they didn’t, and let’s see if they will make things right. They did not.

Manager, Nick Anangno, told me four things that influenced my buying the car:

1) That workers checked through the whole car and all perfect: this was a lie because front passenger seatbelt does not work. Plus, no gas cap. They sent me a link for a seatbelt and when it arrived, it was the wrong part. 2) That tires were brand new: this was a lie because tire shop told me about wear and tear was on the tires, and when they opened up deflated tire, there were all kinds of broken-down rubber inside. The new tire went flat and rim was bent. 3) That there were no nicks or scratches on the car: this was a lie because there are two nicks on one door. 4) That I could return the car within seven days if I did not like anything about it, no questions asked: this was only partial truth because I could only trade for something else.

So here are the prices for damages:

1. Seatbelt: $953.24

2. Fixing the nicks: $678.71.

3. Tire that I replaced went flat and the tire shop found out that it needs a new rim. Shop put tire on the machine and rotated way off-center because of the bent rim. $731.46.

4. The tire shop told me that if I only put on one new tire, it could ruin the transmission. I called Mercedes and they verified verified. Price for three more tires: $840.76.

Total: $3420.46

I tried to go to the most inexpensive shops I could find. They offered $421. This is reprehensible, Don't trust them.
