I am writing to urgently request your immediate attention to a critical matter concerning the auction sale of my home occurring today 2/8/2024 needs to stop immediately. As my circumstances have changed since my husband's passing and in the midst of an active modification review, it has come to my attention that Rushmore Servicing received a complete package on 1/26/24 in which I have a letter from Rushmore states this fact for the modification, despite claims of not having received it. This discrepancy has led to concerns of dual tracking and deceptive lending practice, as excuses are being made to proceed with the sale rather than provide the necessary assistance to help both side.

I am Gloria Salazar, a 66-year-old widow who lost her husband to COVID-19 in 2020. Since then, I have been financially devastated as my husband managed our finances and mortgage payments for 35 years. This is my last remaining home since his passing, and it holds significant sentimental value to me. Despite my repeated attempts to seek a loan modification and work towards a resolution, I have been met with resistance and gaslighting tactics to coerce me into surrendering my home.

I urge you to stop the foreclosure sale and or the forclosure proceedings asap and extend the necessary assistance to help me save my home. I have no other financial obligations besides the mortgage on the property I currently reside in, which is shelter to me in my time of need. I have the means to make mortgage payments and am supported emotionally and financially by my nephew and sister-in-law, with my nephew being an active-duty member of the United States Army. As his dependent family member, I am protected under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) as confirmed by the certified copy from the Manpower Database that was provided to Rushmore Servicing last week.

I implore you to take immediate action to stop the sale, which is scheduled for today at 10 am, and grant me the necessary assistance to prevent further hardship. Your cooperation and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.
